I have found that the dip substitute helps the really monster cravings.
Which ones have you used? I'm looking into this, and just have no clue which one to try
the smokey mountain isn't bad. close enough to the real thing.

i went through the first 1-2 weeks without anything, and then got some smokey mountain. after 2 weeks, that shit felt like the real deal... it might not to someone newly quit.

i still use it every now and again. i have small panic attacks now and again when i forget that i have a fakie in instead of grizz. i hardly use it anymore, but it's good to have around in case a monster crave hits.
I'm on day 9 today and I've found that beef jerky works best for me. Tried Hooch (not bad, a little too fine cut for me), Jake's Mint Chew (turns your shit green), Altoids and chewing gum. No nic in my system for more than a week now and I still want to have a dip when I get up, get in the shower, get in my truck, sit at my desk, work in the yard...just about everything I do. So instead of putting that crap back in my body I grab a small chunk of jerky, chew it up and stick it in my cheek. It gives me the sensation of having a dip there but without the toxic shit...and it tastes a lot better. 'archer'

You look at this page yet?

http://www.killthecan.org/yourquit/alternatives.asp

I got myself a couple Chattahoochee Sample packs. Got me through the suck.

PS. I was a fan most of the spitfire. I see now they have a whiskey flavor which I would have tried.
