Hi Elizabeth, I just got out of the Chatroom with you. I read your Intro, and I am imspired by your desire to quit this nasty habit. You are already past the worst part of it in my opinion of the 1st 3 days.. Post roll everyday, and rely on your support. If you havent figured it out already, FISHFLORIDA is a great quitter and great person to rely on with your quit. Im Havent personally gotten to know harvestgirl, but I see her in the chatroom all the time and know that she is very well respected by all quitters and I see her opening up to you. Rely on your group, post your promise to your group, and I am going to post my support for you and your group every day. You Can do this and everyone here at KTC has your back.

Wow! A person has a harder time quitting dip than other bad addictions! What a powerful drug. You can do this and we will walk hand and hand with you in this journey but you must post roll! I'll quit with you today!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I sent her an email too. Hopefully it'll help?
Very good HG.

Beth, you just need tot do it, cold turkey.....
Get past 1 second, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day at a time....
Baby steps to a long quit.
Get posting roll and want it, want it so badly, no one can want it more than you for yourself.

Get your head right, you are not hoping, not trying, YOU ARE QUIT.
So when the question pops in your head "am i dipping?"
There's a No brainer answer of "NO".
Its Gonna suck till it doesn't, but its only temporary.
Its not easy, but it's simple.
Post a promise, make connections, honor your promise, don't let yourself or your new support people down.

Sent her an email through the KTC system. Hopefully she'll respond. Would ask that other quitters (esp females) do the same. Maybe she would feel a little more welcome if she realized the sheer number of females out there....just off the top of my head I'm aware of at least ten of you (don't want to start naming cause I don't want to leave anyone out)... :D

Glad to see that you posted your intro, Beth!
Like we said last night on chat, the only true effective way is to do it cold turkey and you did a great first step by dumping that can.
Lean on this site- it WILL help you through.
And remember, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE on here has done the same thing- we have quit, are quitting, and fighting for the quit every damn day.

Will this be easy? No. Oh hell no. Is it worth it? Absolutely yes.
You damn right it's worth it.

Looking back while I was a user I always thought "as did everyone else at one time I'm sure" I will never quit, why would I? I'm to nervous without it etc.

I am able to call BS on it all.

I do not need it.

I was a million times more nervous then than I am now. That is one thing that amazes me with this quit. Knowing now that I wasn't nervous then, I was addicted. It controlled me. It was merely mind games.

I really hope Elizabeth, that you get your ass back in here. We are all here for you. As we are with everyone else.

Posting Roll is the key to a successful quit. Didn't see you on roll yet. If you work 2nd or 3rd shift let the members of your group know that
as it will help them as they/you try to track down not posting stragglers. Proud to quit with you today.

believe what everyone is saying, you can't quit and also use the nicotine gum, because you still have the nicotine flowing through your system then. you gotta be strong and put it all down in the trash can. 50 days ago, was my first day without dipping after 13 years of straight use, and trust me, it will get much easier. cravings still come and go here and there, but i know you can do it. you were disciplined enough to get that MSW, be disciplined enough to save your life!

You got this. One day at a time. Post your promise and honor your word for the day. We have all been there and you will get through it. But just today.
Only one day at a time. Proud to quit with you today.

Oh it's going to seem scary I guess it should. I used for 25 years. I was terrified. How would I do this and that etc. KTC. Get numbers, post roll. Buy you some fake dip such as smokey mountain which can be bought at walmart. One day at a time. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask.
