Keep posting roll and stick to your word. It's simple, but not easy. However you CAN do it.

If the TV is a huge trigger for you, why not turn the thing off for a while? Reinvest the time dip took you away from your kids and just focus on them.

I have been a night owl as long as I can remember, but have found myself hitting the hay earlier and getting up earlier. Each day I feel a little better.

So i have dipped for almost 20yrs. My first ever dip was cherry flavor and I threw up but i didnt let that stop me. Found longcut straight and never looked back. I have a wife and 2 young kids now but i dont really dip in front of them much. My wife hates it of course but deals with it. My kids are old enough now that they ask what it is so i tried to hide it from them. My real triggers happen at night when im watching a sporting event on tv or a show. Im scared to even think about watching tv without a dip or on those long car rides without a dip.....although i made it last night. Watched the KC Royals bball game for the first time in 20 years without a dip in. Although i did have some smokey mountain so that helped. What made me realize i need to quit is hearing about Tony Gwynn dying. That opened my eyes to the fact this crap can really kill me. Also the fact that i find myself staying up late at night just so i can dip and watch tv. That in turn makes me tired in the morning and usually i get up late. Therefore i dont get to see my family much in the morning before i rush off to work. So i am tired of neglecting my family and putting snuff in front of them. I dont want to crave it or need it anymore. I am ready to move on with my life without snuff.
Thanks for posting O. This pretty much sums up my motivation as well when I first got here. Two kids, staying up late, baseball games, putting it ahead of the fam, etc. You're in the right place so long as you put some good quittin work into the site. I'm only day 17 and I already notice more time with the kids, more fun stuff that I wouldn't have had time for before I quit.

You can WILL do this thing and the Sultans will be right here with you. Get your big boy britches on, take a healthy gulp of the KTC Kool-aid and get to quitting. ODAAT.
