First I thank you for your service to our country, Marine!

Listen to the advice given to you below. Also click around this website and read all the great information. Make sure to learn how to post roll here, by clicking on the pink-ish "WELCOME CENTER" link near the top left of this page.

Always have a plan for staying quit. Use candy, gum, fake chew, atomic fireballs, whatever you prefer. Also use exercise to relieve the anxiety and fits of rage. Find things that work for you, and use them often. And collect phone numbers of fellow quitters in your group (March 2014 I think) and text or call those numbers when you get into a jam. Just the distraction of texting someone is usually enough to get you thru a weak moment.

Welcome to KTC!

Rick

Go load yourself up with gum, mints, fake chew, seeds and beef jerky. Also get some member phone numbers right now, they will help you through the rough parts.

Next, exercise to exhaustion every single day and drink so much water that you feel like you may bust. Both of these will help.

Make sure your wife reads about what you are going through. 99% chance that you are going to be a short fussed dick for the next 3-4 weeks. Try not to take it out on her and the kids. Get on here and take it out on us, we will be fine.

Nice summary ParadigmDawg! :D

Quitting is really simple.

Read everything on here, post roll call each morning and don't dip. Wow....that sounds so easy, doesn't it?

If you read through the other intro's you may see some of my same words on them but they always hold true so I will just repeat them...

You are in for one nasty fight but you have the tools here to make it.

I quit with you.
Oh little worm-dirt...you are so scary...F' OFF...!!!

I am a Marine. I have dipped and chewed off and on since the corps. Mostly when I played baseball after the corps or coaching highschool football. So as of today I am done.
Well done my friend. You have made the right choice. Welcome to March Madness.
