Thanks for the support guys. I would have already got it checked out but I have a dentist appointment this upcoming wednsday so I'm just waiting for that. I'm done dipping even if it isn't bad. I figure if it can do this after 8 months what can it do after a much longer time!

You need to see a dentist or a doctor. It is hard but you need to know. 18 huh? Damn. I wish I would have quit when I was so young. Instead, I continued to dip because "nothing will happen to me" and "I'll quit soon anyway". Bullshit. 22 years later, who knows how many thousands of dollars, and 5 implants for the teeth I lost due to Kodiak....I kept on going.. Can after can. I can tell you this addict to addict. You are scared now and when the doctor (God willing) tells you that you are fine, you will get into your car and stop at the fuel stop and get a can. This is our addiction.

Go get checked and remain quit. You are never going to regret quitting. This may be your only chance. Are you a gambling man?

Well, get it checked out to make sure it's ok.

I did not get such a bump at 18... So 35 years or so later here I am, 173 days quit.

Flush all tobacco down the toilet if you haven't yet.

go to the February 2016 quit group and post roll, your promise to use no nicotine for 24 hours. Nrepeat every morning. Exchange digits with to other bad ass quitters in February, mthey are newly quit like you, some are near your age.

Read everything here, use live chat, join the February groupme.

Drink water and exercise.

Take the hint from your mouth and get nicotine out of your life. Get that bump looked at -- no point worrying without info. And dive in and quit!

My name's Ed I'm 18 and I dipped for about 8 months. I never thought about quitting until 4 weeks ago when I got a big bump where I kept my dip and a bunch of smaller ones that move around in my lip. They are white when you stretch the skin in my mouth over them. Don't know what they are but they made me quit. Just hope it's nothing bad.
