Way to go mcnary. Make the decision and stick to your word. Its a difficult path especially with guys around you still putting the cancer rat in their mouths but you can do this bro. Be the tougher bastard and take it one day at a time. You can do this. Plenty of folks here to support you. Kick the nic bitch in the crotch - take back your life - bring the quit!

I've been chewing since about May of 2009, so a little less than 2 years. I realize it's not quite as long as some people here, but I've attempted to quit before and it obviously didn't work.
I have a friend who got hooked after less than a year. After that first dip, if you put another in, you're hooked.

First off, Welcome to the site, and thanks for your service!

I am a fellow newbie, but post roll, post roll, post roll. It is the biggest thing that helps. It is what has kept me from caving several times. Theres also the chat, that will help quite a bit too.

I wont wish you good luck, as others say, luck has nothing to do with it, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
Your quit's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get.

Today is the day of my last chew. I'm in the military, where you can throw a rock at a group of guys and you'll most likely hit a tin. Everyone here says "I'm gonna quit" or "I'm gonna cut back for a while", but it rarely happens. I've been chewing since about May of 2009, so a little less than 2 years. I realize it's not quite as long as some people here, but I've attempted to quit before and it obviously didn't work.

Thanks in advance for the support.
If that can is still in your pocket....trash it and go post Day 1 in June 11.

If the can is gone....nice, go post Day 1 in June 11.

Thanks for your service. We got a few active service members here.

Tell your fellow soldiers you are quit. Matter of fact, call a meeting of the ones most likely to offer dip, bust your balls for quitting, or in any way may be detrimental to your quit. Ask one for a dip. Dump his shit on the ground and tell them all, "This will be the end of my addiction. You are not allowed to fuck with it. This is my quit." They'll get it.

Now...back to the Day 1 Roll Call...go make it. However, by doing so, LOOT and his boys own your balls for a minimum of 100 days. You agree to post Roll Call for at least that long.

Welcome to the site.

Now, drop and give LOOT 20.

First, welcome to the best decision you ever made.

Second, thank you for your service, and for keeping the wolf from the back door.

Get over to the June 2011 group and post roll. It's how we do it here.

I'm going to send you some info in a little bit, so check your Inbox (1) in a few minutes. Top right corner of the screen.

PM me if you need anything.
What is your major malfunction?!?!?!?!

Welcome to your quit, mcnary21. Today you're ready to help your brothers learn how it's done - no more "gonna", "someday" - it's today, exactly as you said. I hope a handful will join you here soon. Thank you for your service.
