Hi everyone, I quit today after 20 something years of chewing different flavors of Skoal. I tried to quit once before, but it didn't take because I was not serious because I had not decided to quit for myself. Now I want to quit so I decided to do so. To begin, I made some changes to my normal routine to avoid falling back into dipping patterns, I lurked on KilltheCan.org for a few days to prepare myself, and I found Jake's Mint Chew to help ease the oral fixation.

Post roll in May 2015. That is your hall of fame group. The date signifies when you'll be 100 days quit. You aren't cured at that date. It's merely a moment that we celebrate.
Drink water for the next few days, and I don't mean a little bit. Drink tons of water. Watch your caffeine as it's more potent initially here, and alcohol....well. It may be best to set it completely aside for a little while.
Stock up on supplies (like Jake) and have them at your beckon call every moment of your day. You have to reach for weapons. It's ok if you've planned, and planning will keep you quit.
Most importantly, post roll and join us. there are a ton of quitters here that will walk side by side with you today (including me). You can do this because we are.
