Kramer, This intro page is a great start, but this site isn't successful because it's a quit dipping forum where we can share our thoughts on our intro pages. It is successful for quitters because it is the place you can post roll and in doing so make a promise to every quitter here that you will not dip today. Then once we make that promise you can update your intro page and help others out in any way you can. But without a promise everything else is mute. So....click the "Community" link up above
Then
Click "Welcome Center"
Then
Click "how to post roll"
Follow the directions and post in the May 2015 group.

This is the ritual we have all used to quit....really quit. You can do it too.

Hi everyone, I quit today after 20 something years of chewing different flavors of Skoal. I tried to quit once before, but it didn't take because I was not serious because I had not decided to quit for myself. Now I want to quit so I decided to do so. To begin, I made some changes to my normal routine to avoid falling back into dipping patterns, I lurked on KilltheCan.org for a few days to prepare myself, and I found Jake's Mint Chew to help ease the oral fixation.
Nice man, and congratulations on the best decision of your life.

Since you're quit, you are welcome to Post roll in May 2015. That is your hall of fame group. The date signifies when you'll be 100 days quit. You aren't cured at that date. It's merely a moment that we celebrate.

Drink water for the next few days, and I don't mean a little bit. Drink tons of water. Watch your caffeine as it's more potent initially here, and alcohol....well. It may be best to set it completely aside for a little while.

Stock up on supplies (like Jake) and have them at your beckon call every moment of your day. You have to reach for weapons. It's ok if you've planned, and planning will keep you quit.

Most importantly, post roll and join us. there are a ton of quitters here that will walk side by side with you today (including me). You can do this because we are.

Welcome to your quit.
^^^^^ YES ^^^^

Waste covered it. Congrats on a great choice, Kramer! Post roll, keep your word, and repeat. Read everything you can on this site. Then read it again. YOU CAN DO THIS!
come on here instead of running to the store.
Quit: 7-23-17 at 8:30am.....after a cave

In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone.
