Greg, I too started about your age while playing baseball. Never really gave it a second thought. The rolls were basically free and we thought we were cool. Fast forward 32 years in my case and THOUSANDS of dollars later i was enslaved to this crap. Get out now. I stand quit with you.

Hey Greg,

try reading as much of the site as you can. Start here Words of Wisdom You could try shairing some of those stories with your buddies, but if I remember correctly 18 year old men don't listen to well (at least I didn't it).

Tons of other good material on the site as well. Live chat has helped me a lot also, give it try lots of good help in there.

I will quit with you today.

Howdy, gbray! That's what people are gonna call you, so I figured I'd start the ball rolling. Some will remember you name, most of those will be in your quit group. I suck at remembering names anyway, so don't take it personally. With the thousands of members, that's just the way it is. If we ever meet face-to-face, then I'll remember it. LOL.

That was all just a ramble, but I'm glad you're here. Let's do this thing. Post, promise, honor, repeat. Quitting is just that simple.

Not easy, but simple. I'll see you here tomorrow, Greg.

Welcome Greg,
Smart move to quit ASAP. The longer you wait, the deeper the hooks. Quitting now will get you into the March '13 Quit Group, same as me. Hit one of us up via pm to swap contact #'s for support.

Post roll everyday. Promise everyday. Be a man of your word everyday.

Your bros got blinders on. They ain't thinking about realistic stuff like higher insurance premiums, aside from all the health risks. Step up and show them what is real.

First go to the Welcome Center and check out item 3, should be a vid in there for mac users.

Welcome Greg,

While I can't give advice on you Apple product I can say that everyone on here will be supportive and a mentor, but you have to quit for you and not because some housewife gave you the stink-eye at Chipotles.

If YOU want to quit you are in the right place. Get whatever you need: water, gum, seeds, candy, tea bags, fake dip, toothpicks, whatever, and be prepared for "the suck".

Read everything on this site starting with the welcome center and learn how to post roll - you'll be in March 13'. Send some PMs to other guys in your group and exchange phone numbers. Send a text to make sure they are still quit and to tell them that you are quit.

Be active! the more active you are on this site the more bonds you will form with others who have gone through already, or are going through what are are currently facing. You will not want to fail and let your quit brothers down. Trust me on this one - it will make sense in a few days or weeks.

So, welcome, and post roll stating that you are, and will remain, 100% nic free today. Repeat tomorrow.
"Dunno about you HP, but LOOT doesn't like getting assfucked, by anyone....and certainly won't chalk it up to 'shit happens'."

Hey guys, my name is Greg, which is what I would prefer you call me if you can remember, but if not then that's alright too. I'm 18, former dipper for around 3 years, and I am a baseball player. I was at Chipotle with a hammer in and looked around and saw disgust on everybody's face. Now, friends had always told me they thought it was gross, but once I saw that people I did not even know were avoiding me like the plague I finally realized that I needed to quit, especially since I could not even wait in line for 10 minutes without a lip in.
I think that my biggest struggle is going to be avoiding dip while with my teammates, because they all dip, and it is basically free for us. Although my parents did not support me dipping, they were never very opposed, but were always quick to remind me of how many family members died from heart disease related to tobacco use.
Today (12/12/12) is my first day quit and I think it would be pretty cool to have like a mentor type of person, because most of the people I know are dippers and will not be the ones to tell me not to do something, or remind me of the consequences of going back. I look forward to becoming a healthier person with your guys' help!
