Hi Everybody,
To be honest, I have been reading this site for a few months now and my time is NOW! Pretty normal starting story, I began dipping in college to help me study and "relieve" the stress in my life. It has now been 5 years at 2 tins a day and I have had enough. It took me about 4 yrs to admit that I was addicted, I always felt like I could quit anytime I wanted. This past year I have tried and failed more than half a dozen times never making it past a week. This site gives me hope. The people that have gone through the struggle give me hope. I do NOT think this will be easy but I am ready. Tobacco controls my social life, work life, how I want to spend my time, eating habits, almost every decision I make revolves around my next dip. I am worried about the hundreds of triggers I have, basically everything I do is a trigger at some level. Eating, driving, sitting, playing video games. I sometimes only eat meals so I can have the feeling of a dip on a full stomach. On to the next one, one foot in front of the other.

Hi KTC,
Welcome aboard. A little about me, I chewed for over 30 years and was up to 3 cans a day when I quit 572 days ago. So, if I can do this, then I know you can too. You just need to dive in head first and drink all the kool-aid. Don't go thinking your way is better, because, believe me, I have seen people come and go who though their way was better and they have failed.
Alright, Congratulations on making the decision to quit. It is the best decision you could make. Here we post our promise to remain nicotine free every morning when we wake up. This takes nicotine off the table for the next 24 hours, then you just come back and repeat the process every damn day (EDD). Wake Up, Piss, POst (WUPP) is the mantra being called.
Your group is going to be the
November 2019 Quit Group. November is the month that everyone in your group will 100 days quit. We celebrate the first big milestone in every month.
Head on over to November, find the most recent roll post and follow the directions for posting roll. Make that promise to remain nicotine free. Keep your word and repeat daily. Start exchanging phone numbers with the other quitters in your group and some of the vets. Those numbers will be your lifeline if you need instant support, they also are the cornerstone of your wall of accountability and brotherhood. Keep those numbers with you at all times.
Send me a private message if you would like my digits, I am happy to oblige.
Proud to quit with you today,
Chris
