This is the second time I’m trying to write on here. Last night I spent about an hour typing out a long story about me and when I tried to post it, this website said an error occurred and it didn’t post anything. I guess it timed out. If it doesn’t work this time, that’ll do it for me. Anyway I’m 39 years old. Been chewing for 23 years. 3 cans a day. I’ve quit three times in those 23 years. Once when I was younger for about a year or so. Second time was about 2 years ago for 18 days. And this time has been 5 days so far. I’m on chantix this time, it’s been 10 days of chantix. I tapered down chew about two weeks ago. I got down to one or two pinches a day. When I got to that point I noticed the inside of my bottom lip felt different. It was smooth, like my top lip. It was a strange feeling. But a good feeling. But then I also noticed a sore or two. One started on my left cheek and one on my tongue. At first I thought I bit my cheek in my sleep. But as days went on they’ve been getting worse. Now it’s excruciating. I never had any pain or sores in the 23 years that I chewed. Now that I stop, I have all this pain and problems. I am religious about brushing and flossing. I’ve only had one cavity my entire adult life. I go to the dentist twice a year. I read that this is normal? Is that true? Has anyone had sores appear as soon as they STOP chewing? I don’t get it. It’s pretty bad. I’m having a hard time eating/chewing food. If it’s not better soon I’m going to the doctor or dentist. Or both. Anyway, I’m on day 5 and I’m not looking back. I threw out all my cans. I’m also having a hard time figuring out this website. Am I supposed to check in everyday? Where? Is that what roll call is? Where is that? How do you just talk to someone on here? Help
Welcome @Louthemechanic . Here is the link for posting roll in the May2020 group. https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16257.0  We wake up, piss, and post our promise to stay free of nicotine for the day. That means no I form of nicotine. We post the promise everyday first thing. Reach out and make relationships. Check your messages and fellow quitters will be reaching out to you. Only exchange digits through personal messages and not on the forum or the Intro section. These relationships are huge. It’s not about the number but the quality of those relationships.
