Thanks for the welcome and support.

Doing pretty good today. It’s usually the 2nd and 3rd days that are a bitch.

You've been through day 2 and 3 before I see.  Follow the system here and you'll never need to go through them again!   8)

I quit with you today!

Do you have phone numbers of other quitters to reach out to when those craves get too strong?  My number is always available for the asking.  Just send me a private message and I will respond.  You can do this brother, especially with our help.
If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.

Hello all,

Last night was my last dip. Nothing today.

Been dipping since 1988. Quit many times only to start again. Time to stop this bad habit.

I appreciate the site and the info.

JDR

Congrats on starting your journey to freedom!  Here's a link to your May Quit Group: https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16257.0

Go there and learn to post roll. By posting roll, you are making a promise to yourself, all the members of your Quit Group, and everyone posting support, that you will not use nicotine in any form for the rest of the day. Go there early in the day each morning, and make the same promise.

Congrats on posting roll.  Like Smokey said, repeat that promise early everyday.

One thing I will point out though, is that nicotine dependency is an addiction, not a habit.  Habits can be broken, addiction lasts a lifetime.  We are all addicts on this site and we fight each day for our freedom from our addiction.  The sooner you get it in your head that you are an addict, the better equipped you will be to handle the suck you are about to encounter.

It will suck for a little while, no getting around it.  But you can get through it, you just have to want it bad enough for yourself.

Proud to quit with you for today,

Chris
@JDR these brothers speak the truth. Check your messages as fellow quitters will reach out. Make relationships, quality over quantity. Those relationships will be a life safer throughout your quit. Only exchange digits through personal messages and not on the forum or here in the Intro section. Reach out if I can help.
