Hey @Dwtata5 - are you posting roll yet? That is key to quitting. Every day right away. Need help send me a note. Happy to be there for you.
@Dwtata5 ready to stop living a lie? Jump on in. It sucks for a while but the freedom is great. You can do it and we are here to help.
Nice job posting roll. Read up on what other before you have done to be successful. Lot of good stuff on the site. Biggest things for me are posting every day first thing and connect with others. Keep it up and let me know if you need more accountability. It’s a team sport here.

Been there Dan. Your story is similar to mine. I lied to everyone, ninja dipped and created some long lasting family issue as a result. Sucks. I wish I could go back a punch my 33 year self. You are ahead of me but time flys. I have been quit for 180 days now. I dipped for about 20 years. Quitting is not easy. The first couple weeks are hardest. It does get easier. Try to stay away from cave situations until you are stronger. If you need more accountability - send me a PM and we can exchange digits. Lots of support here at KTC.

My name is Dan. I am 33 and have been chewing for 10 years. I smoked for about 5 years before I started chewing.  I started chewing in order to quit smoking.

There are a number of reasons I quit or want to quit. Number 1 being I don't want to get mouth cancer and lose half my face or die. A close second is I have been hiding my addiction from my wife for pretty much our entire relationship. It has caused a number of issues between us and it is time for me to quit.

I always thought when I was younger I would be able to just not buy it one day and be done with it no problem. Well that is so far from the truth I wish I could go back and beat the hell out of that kid. I have tried to quit 100 times. I'd be good for a few days then I'd bum one at work then I'd buy a can then I'd be right back in it.

I am hoping that the inspiration and support from everyone on this site will help this be my last quit.
@Dwtata5 first off, welcome to KTC! You’ve come to the right place for quitting that nasty ass nicotine. First thing you need to do is head over to here: https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16409.0

This is the July quit group, which you will post roll with. Head over there and post up on the roll with your name and day count.

Just so you know, we are a 100% nicotine free site here, so no patches, nicotine gum, or anything, just cold turkey. Start to message your brothers/sisters in your quit group and reach out for that web of accountability. I’m on day 105 of my quit journey, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Proud to quit with you today!
Heads up, just so there are no surprises-- we are an accountability site before we are a support site. I believe the two go hand-in-hand, but some people have trouble grasping that concept. Those people are pains in the ass and they undermine what this site is about. This site is about quitting nicotine and learning how to stay quit. KTC has a method that is 100% effective as long as one does what is asked. Unfortunately it's not fool-proof because fools always come in and try to quit according their preconceived notions. We're asking you to forget that nonsense and do it the KTC way.

Show up; post your promise, without fail, early every day; trade phone numbers with your group mates and some vets; and you will have tons of support. Miss, be late, or cave--- and expect to be jacked up. Keep your numbers to yourself and you won't get the 24/7/365 support you will need one day. Get with the program with all the gusto you can muster.

If you want to stick around here, the first thing you do is go to your HOF group  and post roll call with the other quitters who are showing up daily. Roll call is your daily promise not to use nicotine today. Keep your word by all means necessary. If you cave after you make your promise you are a liar and scum of the earth. After you post your first roll call and every subsequent roll every day, there is absolutely no reason to ingest nicotine in any form again. It only exists to take your money, freedom, dignity away, and then kill you slowly. There is no excuse to do that to yourself. Period. Nicotine is our mortal enemy and yes this is a sort of combat. Treat it as such and you will do well. Yes, there is a tough withdrawal period, but the withdrawals can be fought and beaten. That's what we do and that's what we expect from you. It's like a blood oath to post roll call. Honor it along with the people who are posting their promise with you. If they break that honor, they are scum traitors.

Posting roll call is intimidating the first time. It's hard to do it correctly the first time. That's ok. The only wrong way to post roll call is to not post roll call. Follow the instructions on the page, or at the very least hit 'REPLY' at the top of the page and post your name, day count, and promise not to use nicotine for one day at a time. Anybody can quit for one day. It's rough at first but it can be done. Later on, your only regret will be that you didn't quit sooner.

The new group is forming here:
