Chewing Copenhagen became a habit for me by 9th grade. Been a slave to the grave dirt for almost 40 years. I did have a few extended “quits” over the last 10 years. Don’t think any of them lasted more than 3 months.

Wasn’t unusual for me to have a dip in during all my waking moments. I was an upper lip guy and nobody noticed.

I am now on day 24 of being nicotine free so not surprised at many of the withdraw symptoms. Couple scares here and there but that’s still the addition playing tricks on me.

Been using Teaza as a replacement. The habit of having a rub in my lip seems stronger than the nicotine habit.

Which brings me to my next point. I don’t believe I could have made it this far as easily without the fake stuff. But I would sure like to learn how to post a new thread in another group to find out the thoughts of long time quitters and their thoughts on the fake stuff. I think it makes the quit easier initially, but (given that I never made it past 3 months) wonder if success is more likely if the fake stuff is given up too. I will admit, Teaza makes a fine product.

Well, that my story and I plan to be part of this group as long as it helps me. So far, everyone’s been very helpful and I’m sure I’ll make some quitter friends here.
@fszat glad to see you found your group and posted roll. We wake up, piss, and post our promise first thing to stay nicotine free for the day. Only worry about today as we quit ODAAT - one day at a time. We will deal with tomorrow when it comes. Make connections with other quitters. Exchanging digits is recommended but only through personal messages and not on the forum or here in the Intro area. You can do this and we are here to help. Shoot me a message if I can help at all.

Hi @fszat ,

Welcome to the best decision of your life.  Follow Keith's advice, he speaks from experience.

Here is a link to Chewie's (Founding father of KTC) review's on a whole medley of fake dip.  Fake Dip Reviews.

If the fake stuff helps, then by all means use it.  Your body will naturally ween itself off the fake stuff in time.  There are guys on here that are quit for years that still keep a can of fake around just in case.

The important thing is to keep the nicotine out.  You can do it, we can help.

Proud to quit with you today,

Chris
Welcome aboard fszat. I posted day 1,024 this morning and I have a mint pouch in right now as I write this. I used fake for about the first 400-500 days and then gave it up. But now I've been using Jake's Mint Pouches for about the last 5 months. Had some cravings and some big trips planned before Covid19 that always found me using in the past, so I bought some fake to make sure that was all I used. I'll get off of it again soon, but it's still a good side bet. Nothing like the useage when I was using grizzly pouches at a can plus a day, now around 1-2 cans per week to take the edge off. As long as it's nicotine free, have at it

If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.
