Good morning,

I've been on this journey several times.  You always forget how hard the first few days are to quit!  I never had the right mindset to get it done, but this time I do.  I'm 37 years old, have a beautiful and coach HS Basketball. I owe it to all the people counting on me to get this done!

You can do this brother.  Keep your head in a manageable time frame...one day.  Do whatever you need to do to get to the end of the day.  Wake up, make your promise and repeat.  Not easy but pretty simple.  You've got a large support group here who will keep you accountable and break trail ahead of you.  Key: reach out for help before you need it.  My digits are a PM away if you want them.  Hold that line.

Welcome @CoachNewt  , to the best decision of your life.  I would like to correct one thing though, "I owe it to all the people counting on me to get this done!" <----- this is inaccurate.  You owe it to YOURSELF to get this done.  Do it for you and you will succeed, try to do it for someone else, and you will likely fail.

The process here is simple:

1. Wake Up
2. Piss
3. Post your promise to be nicotine free for the next 24 hours
4. Keep your word
5. Repeat daily

I see you already posted this morning, that is awesome and you nailed it the first try.  All you have to do now is keep your word until tomorrow and then come back and repeat the same process one day at a t time.

That is how we roll here, we quit for one day and then come back and quit again the next day, over and over.

Start exchanging phone numbers with other quitters through private message.  This is how we keep each other accountable, it also gives you instant access to support if you need it.  Check your inbox for my digits.

Proud to quit with you today,

Chris
