kwn1212 - you are an addict my friend.  Just like the rest of us here.  The good news is that you have found KTC and that has given you a path to being quit.

The formula is simple.  Wake up and quit.  Post roll to promise to be quit and keep your promise.  You can do it.  If I can you can.  And I have been at this for 1852 days.    8)

Love this and all the other posts that have come in on my intro thread. We certainly can all quit for 1 day at a time.

The advice, support, and tough love from the vets is fucking awesome.

You only 'quit' once.

Since you couldn't quit on your own and you know it, I suggest buying into what we do here 100%. Emulate those who are successful. They get on roll every day without fail, participate and interact here, and get involved in the other's quits. Do that like a rock and you won't be running back to the can o' cancer every time life throws a vicious curve ball.

Hello.  I'm in the December 2020 group.  On Day 3 of my quit.  Started in the back of the bus in HS on the way back from football/basketball games in the late 90's.  That progressed to having it around college and chewing while playing video games.  Pretty soon I'd be sneaking dips at work etc.  Never was much of a volume chewer....would go through a tin maybe every couple of weeks but it certainly got to the point where I spent more time with one in than with one out.

In the summer of 2013 my wife became pregnant with our 1st child and told me that it was time for me to quit.  I planned out my quit date to be right after deer season here in ND.  Stopped by these forums once but felt like it was something I could do on my own.  And things really did go great for about 6-8 months.  And then the stresses of building a house as well as being a new dad got to me.  I caved......

That "1 tin" turned into 6 years.  6 years of half quits.  6 years of throwing out a tin with only a dip or two out of it only buy another can the next day.

Until now.  I am ready to quit for the last time.

I assume you know the drill. Wake up, piss, and post your promise first thing everyday. Then keep your promise. Make connections and exchange digits with fellow quitters. These relationships are a life saver when the going gets tough. You hold try to get all your December members numbers and some vets that post with you. If I can help reach out. You can do this and we are here to help. @kwn1212
