It is currently 1230am and I just got back to my hooch. I am currently deployed and today I realized I needed to quit. I’ve been dabbling with the idea, but after going through two cans in a single day I know I’m at the point of no return. I have limited wifi, but hope to check in here everyday.

Happy New Year’s gentlemen and ladies.

Happy New Year!    :)

We don't dabble here - we quit!  One day at a time, every damn day.  If you'd like to quit with us, throw out your cans and find the April 2021 quit group.   8)
@Dog0302 welcome to KTC. Here is the link to take your freedom back if you are really ready to quit; https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16868.0. You would be in the April 2021 group. We wake up, piss and post our promise to stay nicotine free for the day. Keep your promise and repeat the following day. Only worry about quitting today. We will deal with tomorrow when it gets here. Suggest you make connections with fellow quitters by exchanging digits through personal messages only. If you really want to quit you can do it and we are here to help.
Welcome, @Dog0302, happy new year, and happy quit. Like you, I was dipping 2 cans a day when I got the shit scared out of me and decided to kill the can. There is no dabbling, though; there is only quitting. WUPP. Make your promise as early as you can where you are, and keep your word to your fellow quitters and to yourself. Make connections. They form the backbone of the KTC Equation: Brotherhood + Accountability = Success.
You've got this.
Deployment is a good time to quit. With so few things in your control in that environment, quitting dip is a powerful way to take some control of your own life. At least that's how I felt back in 2010 when I quit dipping on deployment. Don't let limited access to WiFi be an excuse. There are plenty of ways to handle that here and I'm sure you and the April group can figure it out.
