I’m 20 days quit. I dipped for roughly 25 years. I feel the same today as the first day I quit. When does it get better?
@BKing you abused your body with a poison for 25 years. You've quit for 20 days which is 0.22% of the time you dipped.
Not going to lie to you; it's likely going to be rough for a while. Your brain and body need to heal which is no quick process. But despite this doom/gloom, there is hope so listen up. Get over to KTC's server on Discord if you haven't already and get plugged in with a quit group. Successful quits are insanely more prevalent when you do it with others where there is accountability and support.
There is obviously no silver bullet but the one thing that comes close is to simply focus no more than 24 hours at a time. TODAY is all we can control. Progress for each person is different but having expectation of what that progress should look like creates nothing more than unfounded dread and unnecessary frustration. Each minute/hour/day you keep nicotine out of your body is a massive victory.
EDIT: Read this -
No progress It's a bit I wrote a while back that you may find helpful. Since writing that, I've added 1,650 days to my quit doing it all ODAAT.
