Question:
Anyone out there get REALLY BAD stomach/GI cramps after about 7 days quit? Man, I got that right now. Had a fever last night, but I know that you can get GI pain after a quit. Just checking
coach -- i had a TON of gi problems... completely normal. i have acid reflux and it got MUCH worse for a while after i quit... you may want to go see a doc, but i will tell you that you're not the only one dealing with gi issues during a quit.

JLaurel...first, congratulations on deciding to change your life. We think you'll find lots of help here.

First, head over here August 07, which is where you will find fellow quitters who are in the same stage of their quit as you are.

Secondly, make sure you have destroyed, dumped all the "hidden" cans, ie..the ones in the golf bag, the ones in the glove box, the ones in the sock drawer, etc, etc, etc.

Then, spend some time over on the resources pages of the site. There you will find plenty of informative and motivational pieces of information to help with your focus on your quit.

Finally, hang on, because you are in for a few days of hell. From my own experience, as I sit at over 500 days quit, the primary thing that keeps me on track every day is not ever wanting to go through the first three or four days again.

Good Luck with your quit. We're here for you.
Congratulations jlaurel!

I am very proud that you decided after 3 1/2 years to finally say enough is enough. It took me over 20 years to actually grow up and see that I was destroying myself. Just remember to take each day as it comes. Read as much as you can and ask if you don't know.

Think positive and if it seems like all else has failed .........

remember it hasn't because we as a community are here to support you, one step a time.
