i just decided to quit after 3 and a half years of dipping. this is gonna suck.
JLaurel...first, congratulations on deciding to change your life. We think you'll find lots of help here.
First, head over here
August 07, which is where you will find fellow quitters who are in the same stage of their quit as you are.
Secondly, make sure you have destroyed, dumped all the "hidden" cans, ie..the ones in the golf bag, the ones in the glove box, the ones in the sock drawer, etc, etc, etc.
Then, spend some time over on the resources pages of the site. There you will find plenty of informative and motivational pieces of information to help with your focus on your quit.
Finally, hang on, because you are in for a few days of hell. From my own experience, as I sit at over 500 days quit, the primary thing that keeps me on track every day is not ever wanting to go through the first three or four days again.
Good Luck with your quit. We're here for you.
