So I got to work this morning and what did I have to do? Work. Can you believe it? The nerve of some companies, expecting employees to work right off the bat in the morning. ;)
Anyhow, got some welding done right off the get go this a.m.. Then noticed a couple of guys tearing down the old buildings across the street from the shop. I decide to go over as one of the buildings is an old house that sat on cinder blocks. Since the backhoe was trashing everything, I wanted to see if I could have these. The backhoe operator nodded his consent, and I started hauling them off. Soon, the second guy came up. He was very quiet and had the "I no speak English" additude...... at first. I laughed it up and soon found out he did indeed speak english. He helped me find a few more bricks and even got up into large dumpster and pulled some out for me. Now comes the reason I am sharing this. As he climbed down from dumpster, I seen it. The can in his back pocket.
GAME ON !!
I told him my story. Showed him my scar. Explained to him the dangers. Hopefully I got my point across. I feel I did as he said thank you in a very genuine and grateful voice.
