In school I am teaching my classes about character and what it means. I have a huge board in my room with this message to my students.
Building Character Counts
Trustworthiness - Always keep your promises. Always do what you say you'll do. Be loyal, honest and punctual.
Caring - Ultimately this is seemingly endless - Be kind, Be compassionate and to show that you care. Express gratitude. Always try your best to forgive others. Remember to help others in need.
Citizenship - Do your share to make your community better. Cooperate and be a good neighbor. Protect the environment.
Responsibility - Persevere: keep on trying. Always do your best. Use self control and be self disciplined. Think before you act - consider the consequences. Be accountable for your choices.
Fairness - Play by the rules. Be open-minded; listen to others. Don't take advantage or blame others carelessly.
Respect - Treat others and yourself with respect. Be tolerant of differences. Use good manners. Be considerate of the feelings of others. Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements.
I wanted to share this with you because this is not always taught to the next generation. Quite often it's forgotten through our daily routines and hectic schedules. We too must remember about character and what it means.

Proverbs 18:2
"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion."
A Quit Plan: Do you have one?
CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05
Warm summer sun, shine kindly here;
Warm southern wind, blow softly here;
Green sod above, lie light, lie light.-
Good-night, dear heart, good-night.
Be silly, be honest, be kind
