We seperate air, by pressure and temperature. Basically, we compress the crap out of air, clean it, cool it down to liquifaction temperature(which is like -180 C), then seperate it. It seperates because each element has a different boiling temp, like water has 212 F, oxygen is -280 F, argon is -298 F, and nitrogen is -320 F. So it seperates itself. Then we distill it, down to 99.9995% purity. Then liquify it, and store it. Customers use it to freeze stuff, to make stuff non flammable(inert), to breathe(Oxygen in hospital) and so forth.
