Weirdest PM ever, anyone else get this?

SaintFrancis · 8 minutes ago Report Post Forward

Hi!

How are you? I'm sorry to be a bother, but I have a favor to ask. I just started my own General Forum. It's an unique forum, why is it unique? Well it's unique because its an open forum to discuss everything and anything. Plus we have many member oriented things, like custom user groups and clans that members can run themselves! We have many features and currently are constantly working on the forum to improve it. If you could check it out http://forum.thedumpload.net , I would greatly appreciate it! If you join the forum now and PM me, I will make you a V.I.P Member which offers you your own group title and even custom username color! Feel free to PM me with any questions!

Well, I guess Idaho Spuds got me entered into the right roll call page. Thank-you Sir, I appreciate all your help. Now, I have a question for you. Have u ever had withdrawals at night? I had them last night and am wondering if I will have to look forward to another night of that? I feel great throughout the day. I seldom even have cravings. But last night when I went to bed, the withdrawals were pretty bad. No cravings or anything....just kinda, like ....hallucinations, or like I was dreaming but not really sleeping. Not really sure how to describe it but it was one strange night.

Does that usually go on for multiple nights, or am I an extreme case or what?
Sounds like you're just getting into the meat of your quit. The first 3-4 days are brutal. Read around the forums. Everyone will describe similar experiences. The important thing to remember is going off nicotine can't hurt you. It certainly ain't fun, but it can't hurt you.

Start a couple posts in your quit group, send some PMs to people and start growing your network of quitters. It will help in the long run!
Yep... night time can be brutal for a while. No two ways around it and no, from this perspective you're not unique.

THIS will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect

http://www.killthecan.org/your-quit/wha ... t-dipping/

Drink lots of water, and break things down into managable "chunks". At first, it may be minute by minute. Over time, it'll turn into hours, days and week. But you WILL get there.

+1 goes a long way if you let it.

I aint here for any fucking contests and I'm definitely not here for your fucking sympathy. Where the hell do you come up with that Bullshit? 'Finger'
Everyone here just wants you to quit. That is what is most important here!
After you have quit and joined our ranks, the next guy will come through and say; he is not ready, I will quit on my birthday, after this can...
I look forward to your response to that newbie. Quit with us and don't wait.
Not sure wtf kind of response you're anticipating but, how the hell do you post roll
? I clicked on this and that but I can't make heads or tails of that shit. Someone wanna help me out with that? I haven't chewed in over 20 hours and having some major withdrawals. I don't remember this feeling at all from the last time I quit. I wake up every half-hour and it's like my mouth is screaming for something that aint there. Mouth is kinda sore too, along with my throat. Then, I fall back asleep for another half-hour and it's the same thing again. Very very strange.

Anyhow, I'm not waiting anymore......I'm just in need of some assistance in posting roll. I've gone to live chat a dozen times but, no one ever is in there to help either. 'help'
Good for you, dude. I will quit with you today! Stay strong and don't give in to those craves. That is The Bitch in your ear trying to get you back on her tit.

To post roll, go to your month (February I believe) and hit the quote button under someone who has posted roll.

From there, go to the "quoting" box and put your cursor anywhere in it. Hit Control A, then hit Control X, then go to the the text box and hit Control V. Now you just add your name and your day 1 to the quitters list. Easy!
I am glad you are on board! You body doesn't know what to do without the poison. The first 0-5 days will be very hard, but you can do it.

Try these instructions for: PC How to post roll
1. Login, go to your quit page, think about what you are going to post.
2. Find the most recent post
3. hit F5 or refresh the page
4. Press "quote" on the roll
5. Click in the box that has all of the Roll posts (the lower box), hit CTRL-A to select all and Press CTRL-X to CUT, not copy-if you copy, then you'll double post roll.
6. Click to the reply window and press CTRL+V to paste it in. Then write in your name, day and your promise
7. Press submit-done.

More instructions for Ipad, etc.

You figure this out yet Chewluver? Remember, no one is here to piss you off. That said, no one is here to be a nice guy either. We are all here trying to beat this gross shit we've been putting in our mouths for decades. I thought some of the tough guy shit on here was bullshit, too. Then I realized some of the guys preaching at me have been off dip for YEARS. I figure if this site can help them stay clean for that long, maybe they know something I don't. Just go with it man. You didn't land on this site by accident. You landed here for 2 reasons.

1) You want to quit dip.
2) Chewie is pretty good at SEO.

You were looking for help, and this site can 100% provide that. You have to be willing to stick your neck out a bit, though. Some ruffled feathers never killed anyone. Dip will kill you. Without fail.

Boys and Girls, here is a quick reminder about why we quit. Suffering is at the end of every dippers journey. It can be short suffering from quit, or much longer and more painful if you do not quit. Please read.

I understand what you all are saying..... I've been chewing more than forty yrs. myself. I have also quit a few times in my life and after 6 months or so, of nawing on hard candies and gum and whatever else I could get into my mouth, and feeling sick from all the damn garbage I ate, I would eventually cave in and go back to chewing. That's NOT the plan this time. I am quitting for good and in order to do that, I am getting a game plan going. I will have some sort of tobacco substitute for backup, BEFORE I quit. PERIOD! Call it whatever you want. Call me a sissy, what the fuckever.

And I will NOT post roll, until I have completely quit. I can honestly say that I haven't had a chew of tobacco since 6 AM this morning and I don't plan on anymore for the rest of the day either but, I aint posting roll, till I know for certain that I am quitting. Like it or Lump it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
It's not a contest of who has dipped the longest. I was rocking a nice 20 year habit before I found this site. If you've been dipping for 40 years, you sure as hell know everything you've tried to do in the past doesn't work. Perhaps it's possible some of the people on this site know more about quitting than you do? I know my longest quit before I found this site was about 3 days. I tried planning, and setting dates, and all that other shit. None of it worked. What has worked for me is posting roll every day, and promising my friends on this site that I won't succumb to the Nic Bitch today.

You'll find this to be the most welcoming, friendly community of people anywhere (I have), but no one has any sympathy for doing it any other way than cold turkey, right now.
is this for real? if it is you've got to be kidding me. if your not using why not post up and just make it one day? you can do anything for one day right? or is it harder for you than everybody else on this site?

p.s. you have never QUIT before, you've only stopped. this is where you pull your peaches out of that 'murse' you have and sack the fuck up and save your life. if you don't want to do that then we cant help you.
Nobody ever asked for your help Jeepman and I'm not asking you now. So stay the fuck out of it. You don't know me, you don't know anything about me and you're damn sure not gonna tell me what I have and have not done in this world. Get a fucking life and stay the fuck out of mine!
This happens every once in a while, didn't read through all the posts.
We are glad you are quit, this is called the quit rage!
Did you figure out how to post roll?
No, not yet Spuds but thanks for asking. I'm just about to go back through your directions and give it another shot. Can we talk in live chat? Maybe it would work better for this? Just asking....I'm pretty damn puter illiterate, when it comes to this kind of stuff.
