* One singular day of quit

If you're reading this, you fall into one of two categories, you're quit or you need to quit. I can't image anyone in any other circumstance would stumble upon this site.

For those of you who fall into the 'Already Quit' category, you know how important this site is and what it represents to those of us striving to overcome nicotine addiction. Each of us find our own unique individual value from this forum, but regardless of how or why, it keeps us all true to our goal to stay quit for today. Thank you to EVERYONE. It is of no consequence how you got here or why you decided to quit, you are here , and you make this site great. Truly the whole is more than the sum of the parts.

For those of you who are here and fall into the 'Need to Quit' category, I offer you this one simple truth, commit to not use nicotine for one singular day and you will be overcome by a sense of joy and accomplishment not easily replicated. That is not to say it is an easy commitment to fulfill. That one day of quit may likely be the hardest thing you ever do, but when you lay your head to rest that night, you will feel that joy and accomplishment as promised. The hope is that the next morning you will want to make that same commitment for that one day. One singular day.

I have personally been addicted to nicotine for 20 years. I have failed at quitting more times than I can count. It has been 100 days, a drop in the bucket. At one point I was quit for over a year. I know how easy it is to fall back into the grip of nicotine addiction. So what is different this time around? It wasn't until this quit that I came to realization that I only have to commit to today. I don't preoccupy myself with my quit tomorrow or use yesterday's quit to predict my success today. It's about one singular day, and it has made all the difference.

Thank you to all.
