Don't get me wrong, I am excited to be able to say that 100 days have passed since my last dip. Prior to finding this site I told myself many times that it was time to stop, but it never seemed important enough to actually do it.

So, why the title? Two days before Christmas I noticed a little red spot on my tongue. I showed it to my dentist who had me sitting in an oral surgeon's chair 20 minutes later. He wasn't concerned, but wanted to look at it again in a couple of weeks. Today was that day. He still said it didn't concern him, but thought we should still go ahead with a biopsy. In case you are wondering - it hurts!

Now, when I thought that I would be all excited about celebrating 100 days quit, all I can do is wait for the results. It almost seems funny that after finally making the decision to quit, I can only wonder if I was too late.

I will come back to update this when my mind settles down a bit. For now, though, I just want to thank everyone involved with this site. Without it, I would still be wishing that I had quit!
