A word about quit meets. If you ever get the opportunity to meet another quitter from this web site in person DO IT!

This weekend I attended the 9th annual Pennsylvania get together and it was an awesome event. I met quitters from all walks of life, younger than me and older than me and a wide range of quit days. Linking an actual face and voice to an avatar makes a big difference. We are all real humans here, beating the same addiction EDD. Meeting someone else in person will strengthen your quit big time!

I had hoped to attend but work and life got in the way. And seeing some videos on the Facebook site made me all the more disappointed for missing it. Anyhow, you're absolutely right Stranger. I've found that personal meet ups elevate and reinvigorate my quit like nothing else. It makes it so personal and real. Like the guy who responded before me - after meeting him in person...f'get about it. Quit bliss. I can only imagine how it felt being with 30+ quitters at one time. Hope to see you there next year.

It was great to be able to see the video and be able to put your face to the name brother! Glad you were able to go and glad to hear it made your quit that much stronger. Maybe one of these days I'll get to attend.

I've got two more solo quit meets that I am scheduling after this last one. When I joined this site the last thing I thought is that I would be meeting other members. When I joined I really didn't think that I was even going to share my digits. Someone else sent me digits first. Something clicked and told me that I needed to respond. Man, doing that really saved me. I had a vet member here actually calling me on the phone early on. Then I helped another who was having a bad day with a simple phone call. It got real for me quickly.

My best advice for quitting here is to step out of your quit group and also step out of your comfort zone. You can simply post a number every day but if you aren't interacting with the community you are missing a lot. There are so many folks here who can help you stay quit and if you are struggling they just need to know.

I quit with you all today and I can't wait to post roll tomorrow! :)
