Day 13 is passing me by. I only had a minor episode of the sweats so far today and it did not last more than a few minutes. It was in the morning again and I'm not sure what the hell triggers it, but at least it wasn't anything like yesterday.

I needed to get some cash for the weekend so I went to the free ATM at the convenience store. I gulped a little bit as I pulled open the door, but there is no damn way I'm going through the rest of my life being scared to death to walk into a convenience store. In my mind I kept thinking "remember your pledge". I got my cash and suddenly it seemed like I was collecting my winnings. I got their money this week and they did not get mine.

Fuck you Copenhagen dealers! 'Finger'

I stay quit with all of you.
Coming up on 2 weeks of freedom dude. 2 solid bad ass weeks of keeping your word to yourself and your team, and of WINNING. Look back at your early posts... You've come a long way. No one ever regrets quitting. No one.
Thanks man - I just got done reading this entire thread again. I'm reading it from start to finish every day so I never forget the suck. My brothers and sisters here help me a lot, but reading my own words here really strike home.

I can't wait to post roll tomorrow. :D
Sweats, shits, dizzy, constipation, foggy it's all better than cancer! Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Nomorecope, I'm hoping today's incident was just a blip on the radar. If anything it was a good reminder of why I will never spend cash to put something in my mouth that tastes bad and tries to force me to spend more cash.

Day 13 is tomorrow. That is almost 2 weeks. I don't think I have been this far into a quit in AGES.

You and my other December friends are kick ass quitters. I quit with you! B)B
You've never been this far into a quit before. Because you've never quit before.

This time you have quit.

And yes, I've added an avatar to my account. I've posted on several forums over the years and I find that picking an avatar is always hard to do. You want it to match your personality but you don't want folks focusing on it so much that they don't read the shit you type.

As this forum is going to save my life the choice really took me a while.

I went with a thief running away. It might be me running away from all of those people I have lied to by being a ninja dipper. It might be the nicotine running away with a lot of my money because it has finally been defeated. It might also be any of my December peeps running away because they have caved.

I am rooting for the nicotine running away.

Just an idea - I can't wait to post roll tomorrow.

I quit with you all!

Day 12 and I'm still quit.

I had a massive wave of crave hit late this morning like a ton of bricks. I got the sweats, the shaky hands, the foggy brain, and I just wanted to curl up into a ball. I spent an hour pacing the house, taking deep breaths, and drinking my water. OMG it is only 3:30 pm and I am already into my 3rd liter of water! I've been pissing like a racehorse all day. LOL

I'm happy to report that the crave has left and I'm feeling good again.

Stay strong folks. I quit with you all.
Hang in there brother!! you made it through today and you will always will. Stay strong. I am quit with you!!
Nice win.

One day at a time these struggles will get better. I cant really comment on the pissing racehorse scenario... haha.

You are a great leader here.
We've been there with you and it sucks . If it happens again, go to dresser open drawer ,place your balls inside and slam at least 3 times. This is guaranteed to make you forget about dipping! Quit on my friend!
Good Job Stranger, you're making us proud.

I guess I have a few more rough ones to look forward to, if this is still happening to you on day 12.

You keep fighting through each one, keep it up! Stronger every day.

We're quit, together.

I was thinking same thing earlier today boy it fucking feels like forever since I quit even tho today is day 6!. The nicotine withdrawals are gone but I have the worst neck pain EVER! It's excruciating
Focus on day 7 my brother. It does seem to get better with each day.
On Day 12. It does get better with each day. I don't seem to have the major cravings anymore, just a few here and there that go away fairly quickly. I'm still finding myself sitting there thinking that I should be doing something (with the Nic Bitch), but I kicked that NIC BITCH out nearly 2 weeks ago...never to return. I stay quit with all of you!!!
On day 11 I still have some mouth numbness. The good news is it is not nearly as bad as day 4 or 5 when I felt like every glass of water was going to spill right down my chest. I've been drinking 2 cups of black coffee in the morning and drinking about 2 liters of water every day after that. I've chewed about 3 or 4 packs of sugarless gum just to keep my mouth busy. I've been trying to get in a little light exercise every day as well. I suck at exercise almost as bad as I used to suck at quitting dip. :P

The fog now actually lifts every now and then but there are still moments where I find myself staring at the walls without knowing what I was just doing. BRING ON DAY 12!

I quit with you all.
Mentally it feels like I'm waiting for the finish line. Like yay you did it! then back to the old addiction. but i also realize thats the nic bitch playing tricks on me and I'm not gonna let her fuck with My life anymore. December quit group FTW!
I wish there was a finish line. I've used nicotine for 35 years on and off. Every time I thought I had quit I kept going back. And going back and back for years at a time. I thought I could sneak it in every now and then. I thought I could just hide away and "ninja" it. There is nothing left to do but admit I am a fucking addict.

I think the only way is to post roll every day and leave myself this message in a bottle so that future me understands why he shouldn't cave again someday.

I quit with you all peeps.
To all my badass December Group quitters. We can do this!! Keep fighting that Nic bitch every day!! I quit with all of you!!

Update: On purpose I drove to a distant supermarket today and went right by 4 convenience stores where I used to purchase chew. It was awesome. My next test will be actually buying something other than chew in a convenience store. I think I might attempt that at day 14 or so. Not sure.
a slightly longer drive is NOTHING if it means keeping your word, AND staying free! Nice job brother...one day at a time adds up. And trust me....it is well worth the effort now.
Yes Zam, I am still learning how to cope with being free of nicotine. I've been locked in for decades. At that time I was thinking in miles but you are right, I need to remove this regardless of where the nicotine is. B)B
Good post.

Convenience stores still concern me. I've only stepped inside about 5 in the past 2.5 years. Guess what... There really isn't a need to go inside anymore! I don't waste 1.50 a day on a bottle of water that I take 3 sis of and pour out. No need for packs of gum to mask the taste of wintergreen flavored dog shit in my mouth any more.

You won't believe all of the great freedoms you are earning for yourself. It is sweet not being a slave.
