Dube,

Using patches only prolongs the agony of withdrawal. Remove the patch and within three days the nicotine will be out of your system and you'll be on your way to freedom.
Dube chatted with another dude in live chat earlier and he was using the gum. Didnt want to listen to the advise here on KTC and was probably offended by me and my hatred of Nicotine which I have allowed to control everything about my life for over 38 yr. I have ZERO tolerance for the poison in any form or even talking about it in a positive manner. You can ditch the bitch if you want too. the big if:do you want too. You wrap a dog turd in pretty paper and a bow and it is still dog shit!!!!! explore this website and read all you can of others experiences. If you are ready to quit cold turkey with us you will be welcome here and you will be successful. If you think you need the patch you will need to move on to a place that pampers their addicted users and your success will probably be that you fail to quit.
It is a real big decision not to be taken lightly. It's not for the faint hearted.
You have to be a Man. You have to grow a big set of balls. You have to gain integrity. Daily Quit and commitment are required.

I recently decided to stop dipping after 6 years. I just kind of got tired of putting a dip in and worring about cancer and what not. Today is day 3 of this battle and I tried a lot of the alternative herbal snuffs and they are just not the same after my beloved Grizzly Wintergreen. So I have decided to quit by using the nicotine patch my friend did it and he highly recommended it. So today this would be day 2 of the patch. And as for the oral fixation i found that toothpicks work for me.I can not sleep and as weird as this sounds I have been having dip dreams. And today I have been feeling this stinging pain in the bottom of my lip where I usually kept a dip. Is this normal? And I am going to the dentist to fill a cavity the 1st of May and I will talk to him about this as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there. And not to sounds dumb or weak but any support would be highly appreciated I feel it would help me be more motivated to Kill The Can.
Dube.

I hate everything about my addiction to nicotine. I don't care if it comes from tobacco or is prescribed by a doctor. There is no cure to the addiction. The only way to control the addiction is to divorce it. End the love affair or the dependency.

This is no disrespect. This will hopefully be an "a ha" moment for you.....YOU ARE NOT Quit. The poison is still in your blood. 'finger point'

Please go into chat and hopefully Tarp, Tex, or Dipp will be there. You need to talk. I promise you that it will be a good moment in your desire to quit.

As long as you have the nic, you are not quit.

Please go to chat....
