Honestly I am not a huge fan of rules and so forth. I really thought it was a place where I could toss stuff out there and not be judged. Converse freely with people that have gone through or going through quitting.

I will just roll out if I am making ya'll this upset.

By the way, day 5, live your best life.

So you've got four posts so far, all of them here in the intro pages.  You should be posting roll here:http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?topic=584.msg14003#new
It's the January quit group.  We don't roll alone here; we support each other.

A gigantic green bag of LifeSaver mints from Costco has been my saving grace. I also have had two dips a day of Smokey Mtn Herbal crap. I told my best buddy I quit this passsed weekend and he called me Monday morning to tell me he was quitting too if I was. He threw his can in the garbage Monday morning.

SWEET!!!

Gonna help me if he ain't chewing when we go snowmobiling this winter.

Anyways. Love the suggestions, thanks fellas.

Alright, Day 4 people.

I have done tried that posting roll call, it isnt easy with a phone. Havent figured that out just yet.

Lets crush a Wednesday.
Hello Screeby.  I'm pleased you've decided to quit.  Drink plenty of water.  Fruit juices will help too.  I chewed on cinammon sticks the first few weeks to get over the oral fixation, worked for me.  There's links to some information in my signature.  You'll want to educate yourself about nicotine addiction. Be student of your quit; knowledge is power, ignorance is terribly expensive

Scree,
What RDB said...Posting roll is so key to the success of our quits.  Please follow the link he posted and learn the ins/outs of posting roll.  You will hold yourself and your fellow group members accountable each and every day.  Yes, the site can be a bit clunky but once you get the hang of it, posting will become part of your day...just like waking up every morning and having that first cup of coffee.
And congratulations on 3 days nicotine free.  You will feel better and better with each passing day.  And remember, we all started with Day 1 and quit one day at a time.  Take care and quit on!

Posting roll is the backbone of this site. It is our promise to each other that we will stay quit for the rest of the day. We make the promise daily, early in the morning. We post our promise (roll) in our Quit Group, a group of quitters who quit within a month of the same time you did.

Based on your quit date, your Quit Group is the December '18 Quit Group http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?topic=52.0 found at that link. Your quit group is the month where you will hit 100 days quit, which is a milestone celebrated here at KTC.

Feel free to send me a message with any questions you may have. But, please do post roll. That's our secret to staying quit.

Proud to quit with you.

I have struggled fetting around this website to be honest. Took me almost a day just to get that posted.

I havent roll today, i am not 100 percent sure what that even means.

Today I just wanna stay quit. At 11:00 this morning will be the 3rd 11:00 in a row i havent had a dip.

Side notes. I have gained more then 4 lbs since thursday morning. I have slept worth a crap since zero nicotine.

Good luck and congrats on your quit! If you're looking for more herbal stuff, Wal-Mart almost always has it!

This is an excellent place to vent. It's 99% of what we're here for.  Use all the mints you can get your hands on, if they're sugar free prepare for some painful gas.

Just keep the nic out of your system.  The first week sucks. Chug chug chug water. If you push through, you'll see it gets better quick.

Day 2
« on: September 23, 2018, 09:08:57 PM »
Hello. Back story is chewed 14 years, quit for 14 months and then back on it for the last 8 or so years. This is Sunday, so this past Thursday I had a very honest convo with my dentist. He had never jumped me before, his brother is going through some things from chewing and I think he had wnough. I should state, I am on the jom.k ing level with my dentist, truely a good dude. So, I actually walked into the gas station to buy another can later in the morning and bought somw herbal stuff instead. Over the course of the day thursday i started mixing that in. Saturday morning I had a mixed dip in the morning and havent had any sense.

So 32 hours or so. I have some of that herbal stuff but they dont have anymore at thw gasbstation ans thats probably ok. I have eaten a ton of mints. Life saver, breathe mints, just mints in general.

I have noticed I am really REALLY tense. Like my jaw in clinched all the time. Crazy. Sleeping is brutal. 4 or 5 hourz the last 2 nights.

Not sure what or why I am even posting, maybe just a good place to just vent.

Thanks
