Yes I am still quit and I am going to post a roll call
Great job. Now you are quitting like everybody here. One day at a time. Post roll everyday. Make that promise and then get after it. I wish I can tell you it will be easy....it won't. The first few weeks are a shitstorm. Then it gets easier but harder in a way, because you get sick of fighting off craves...even though they are weaker and less frequent. But in my life quitting dip has been one of the greatest decisions I have made. It will be for you too. Good luck.
Nice job posting roll for day 3! Focus on quitting today only. Don't worry bout tomorrow, next week, yesterday... Etc. ODAAT. You can do this!
Bingo! How can I help?

Welcome Cody! I'm now on Day 117 here - and looking back I KNOW I would not have made it this far without this site. Take in as much as you can, read everything you can, POST ROLL DAILY (no exceptions). Reach out to other guys in your group via the board or chat and trade numbers to text. I know this may all sound crazy, I know I felt that I was stronger than these whiny addicts preaching all this stuff, but it will definitely get you through the tough times.

Take one day at a time - wake up and post roll (your promise that you won't use today) - keep repeating. If you need anything send me a PM and I'll give you my number.

P.S. - Walmart sells Smokey Mountain. I used it for maybe a month - it's an "excellent" fake chew... And I was able to naturally wean myself off of it. The first 3 days are the worst, so keep reading and reaching out!

You got this!

wcv, the only way this works is if you post your name on roll call. I posted today this morning, and trust me brother, the promise I made to this site and the quit brothers I have made is keeping me quit. It is a powerful way to stay quit, and I'd like you to join me. It's a big step, and it's gonna suck, but man it is so worth it.
Agreed. You have made the right decision. Now it is time to make a commitment to that decision. That is a critical step. Posting roll is the commitment to all of us that you are quit.

You can do this!

Start here, in the Welcome Center - it will help orient you to what is going on.

If you are wondering how to quit, read this. Our process is simple - post roll, keep your promise, and quit for today. You have to quit for YOU and pay whatever price necessary.

Quit One Day At A Time (ODAAT), and QLF all day long. Visit the site a lot, it will get you through the crap. You have to make this quit about YOUR desire to quit; for me it was my independence followed by about a hundred other reasons. I used this post, this survivor story, and wrote a much less eloquent version of this letter. The basic question is this: Are you man (or woman) enough to quit?

Your spouse/significant other should probably read this. . . just don't let them find out about each other though 'Crazy'

You should literally drink GALLONS of water and will probably want to look at these helps too. Those tricks will help you minimize the withdrawal symptoms. I found these smokeless alternatives helpful to beat the mind games (specifically Hooch/Hooch Spitfire for its consistency and Smokey Mountain for its availability; make your own decision though!). Some quitters are legit hard core and quit with iron will... but I was a baby quitter with hooch and a KTC Chatroom iv drip.

The key is to stay quit. You may have to quit for the next minute, then the next minute, but the trick is to break the quit down and keep it alive.
How to post Roll Call. Post early and remember that it doesn't have to be perfect - the only way to really screw roll is not to be on it.

Stay quit. Post Roll.

When a crave hits watch this.

"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be Kind Always."

?Gentlemen, we are going to relentlessly chase perfection, knowing full well we will not catch it, because nothing is perfect. But we are going to relentlessly chase it, because in the process we will catch excellence. I am not remotely interested in just being good. ? ~ Vince Lombardi

"We all have our own demons that we face on a day to day basis. Some we can talk to others about. Some that we have to work through on our own. ...the nic bitch continues to knock on the doors my friends. Stay strong, stay vigilant." - Fireheeler; 6/11/14 in AUG14

Never cured, but quitting like this

What cost is too high?

Welcome friend. Buckle up, it is going to be a rough ride for a few days, but it will get better very soon. You can do this. Reach out if you need anything. As others have mentioned, post roll call- your promise to not use nicotine for just today. Don't worry about tomorrow, just quit today.

You got this.

Proud to be quit with you today,

30

Posting your name on roll call is the most important thing. Get it done ASAP. Then do it again tomorrow. You will see the importance after a day or two of doing so.

Welcome to quit.
