Been chewing for 30 years and on December 27th, 2011 I did it, I quit. For whatever reason I had enough. There have been some rough days needless to say, but I am at peace with it.
My biggest problem has been the oral fixation. I tried gum, seeds and everything in between. Did not try any of the mint or non-tobacco snuff just because in my mind it seemed like I might as well dip the real stuff. So what I found was that if I take cotton balls and tear them in half. Then put some sort of flavoring on them, like root beer or mint. go easy with the flavoring because it is concentrated. The texture, flavor and firmness of the pack has worked like a charm.
Just wanted to pass that along in case someone is as weird as me and needed something different for the fixation.
