I'm tired of the guilty/ashamed feeling every 6 months at the dentist
same here bud. i never told mine i dipped, and my recent visit a few months ago was the first time she ever made a comment about how much plaque buildup i had. and i'm a very regular brusher.

she didn't ask me if i dipped, because i was too ashamed to have to answer her.

Welcome HSC, you've made the right choice. 6 days is an accomplishment to hang on your wall for sure - celebrate that. Head on over to the April Pre-HOF Quit group and post role, the single most important thing we do here. Check this link out for instructions:

index.php?showtopic=50

Post role everyday, and do it early, its your promise to your April quit brothers that you won't dip that day. Be a man of your word and you've got this thing licked! PM me if you need anything!

Proud to be quit with you!

I'm pumped, let the healing begin...

As a newbie, just thought I'd do the whole intro thing...I'm 29 and I've been dipping Cope for the better part of 12 years (1/2 can a day) until 6 days ago. This is the first time I've ever really made an attempt to quit, but I just decided the time was right. I'm sick of spending the $, I'm tired of the guilty/ashamed feeling every 6 months at the dentist, and I care about my health and seeing the future with my family.

This past November, I ran my first marathon that I spent over 6 months training for, I figure if I can stay comitted to that, I can stay comitted to quitting. I know there are going to be some hard times (especially when the spring comes and its time to hit the golf course), but I'm quitting for myself and with this site, I plan on making that goal a reality.

BTW, I will probably personally increase the stock price in ConAgra Foods, as I'm chewing David seeds like a madman...
