Allow me to clarify: I finished my final dip at 2:30 am, which is still July 23, 2013 - today. The reason why I say that tomorrow will be day 1 is because it will be 24 hours since I've had a dip. If y'all want to be hard line, that's fine. Challenge me if you wish. Hell, doubt me. Tell me what I need to hear. I need all the motivation I can get, because I know that I can't do it alone.
Excellent decision, my friend.
You do this one day, one minute at a time.
We've got your back!

Cool. That's understandable. So I'm capping off Day 1. So far, I've had one unbearable nic fit that I am trying to suppress with gum. I've thought about grabbing a couple cans of Bacc Off... Would any of you recommend it?
DAJ - why dont you jump into CHAT and talk with Evil? Congratulations on your Day 1. No nicotine is what matters. Use Bacc-Off and/or anything that helps keep that cancer out of your pie hole. I personally loved gently-used panties....
or a sack full of gently used assholes whatever it takes to keep your cake hole free of cancer turds.
DAJ,

You'll have to excuse my 'eager' brothers here. They 'drool' on fresh meat, I mean quit!

Best thing to do is get familiar with this site and start building your quit defense.

Highly recommend you go here: Welcome Center, Getting Acclimated, What to Expect   Top Ten List

Your quit Decision MUST be 100% about you. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can. Quitting out of fear of a medical issue fades as soon as the doctor or dentist gives you a clean bill of health.

You want another layer of accountability? Come post with ERDVM and me every morning after you post roll in yours April 2012

allow me to cleer things up. you dissided your last dip is ahind you rite? dont matter to us if it was a minit after mid nite or 5 minits ago. your done. period. that makes it day 1 in our book. post up roll. then go find your hiddin stashs and dump um in the crapper. see postin up roll means you wont evin think bout takin a pinch afore it goes in the crapper.
well done man, and yes here at KTC we have no Day 0, so the second that the crap is out of your lip, it is the Day 1 and stays that way until you lay your head on that pillow and sleep (or try to), as then we wake and post up a +1 to the day count.

You can do this as there have been many more before you in the same situation. Just follow along, read alot and be quit.

I have been dipping since I was 13 years old. I'm 27 years of age, and dip has been a part of my life for so long that the thought of breaking this vicious cycle is more than scary, but it has to be done. I'm Dustin, and effective July 24, 2013 I will no longer be a dipper. I have tried so many times before that it seems pointless to even try, but it's something I have to do. For myself. For my health. For my wallet. I have always thought that I could do it on my own without any help from anyone, but I realize and I know that I cannot do it alone. That is why I am writing this, and that is why I am reaching out.

Thank you for reading this,

Dustin
Why wait until tomorrow. It is just one more day to contiue poisoning yourself.
TODAY is always the best day to start! Will the next dip be the one to alter a cell in your mouth or throat? Causing cancer? Why wait? Anytime you quit it will hurt. But after a short time you will start to see the joy in living free. Why not make that day come sooner by quitting today? You have come to the right place and we are here to support you! Throw it out and lets get this ride to freedom started!
This site is full of posts just like yours. Big plans for the future. No interest for today.

Addiction does not care about plans. While you plan for tomorrow the nic bitch will do what ever it takes to get its nic TODAY. The nic bitch is laser focused on what matters to the addiction.

There is only one way out, no nicotine today. Put a stop to the nonsense.
:syndrome:
Please listen Dustin! These addicts know what they are talking about. We've seen too many tomorrow's that never came. We've all been there.
Hey part of the reason you never quit is because you have always done it your way....and you my friend are an ADDICT! Being an ADDICT, you are going to find a way to continue using. Here is the deal dump, destroy, throw away all items that have to do with nicotine. Clean out you car and house.....Grab something to keep you mouth busy such as seeds, gum, hard candy, toothpicks, fake chew. Work out, have sex, drink water, and avoid alcohol. You need to listen because we have ALL been where you are. We are here to help but while you are still using you are WEAK and there is no room for weakness in a QUIT.
I got a half-a-can to go on my last can and then that’s it. I’m quittin’. I know it’s gonna’ work this time ‘cause I could’ve bought a full roll last night on the way home from work but I didn’t! Don’t worry, I’m keepin’ my promise. I’m just gonna’ stretch this can a bit to make quittin’ easier; that’s all. After that it’s no more for me, no sir. I’ll be a-slidin’ into this quit one little pinch at a time.

This plan works, believe me, IÂ’ve often quit like this before. Guaranteed! I hope you donÂ’t mind me spoutinÂ’ off like this but IÂ’m just so damn proud about how far IÂ’ve come! IÂ’m workinÂ’ hard but I gottaÂ’ tell ya, itÂ’s been smooth sailinÂ’ so far. No withdrawal stuff yet and IÂ’ve been at it almost a week! So take it from me. That's right fellas, IÂ’m definitely quitting last Tuesday. You can take that to the bank.

It sounds pretty stupid when you think about it!
