Like others have said, you're damn smart to even consider kicking this shit to the curb so early on. Wish I was as smart as you, but it took me 32+ years of dickheadedness. Welcome to the nut house, my friend.

Why do Canadians say, "eh"? Because it sounds so much fucking smarter than, "huh?". (I live pretty close to the border) 'na na'
My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are.

I had the misfortune of being in Canada one time when I ran out of dip. I almost quit right then when I saw the price! I wish I would have!

Welcome Kent!

There are literally thousands of us that would love to go back and quit in our 20's. Don't be like me or before you know it you'll be 49 and just getting around to quitting after tens of thousands of wasted dollars, stealing time from the family and decades of being a slave to a plant.

You will not regret this. You can do this. Stay active here. Make Friends and POST ROLL EVERYDAY!

Thank you! I'm glad to be a part of this.
Welcome Kent. Great decision to quit now! Never forget that this is not a habit - it an addiction to a powerful drug nicotine. Coming face to face with the truth that you are addicted and an addict can be daunting. It was for me, but it has made all the difference.

I see you posted up in November! Fantastic. If you have read much on this site, I'm sure you know how important that roll post is. We take this promise very seriously and in return, we promise you that we will not use nicotine in any form for today. I had trouble finding your post because you used your real name "Kent" instead of your KTC name "Keja". Most of us post with our KTC name or an abbreviation of that.

Glad to have you here and proud to be quit with you.

CJ
Don't be afraid.  You are not alone.

Hi all.

I'm a 23 year old male that has been dipping for 2-3 years. While 2-3 of dipping may not be very long, I want to stop this awful habit before it spins out of control and consumes my life any more. I also do not want to be a statistic to mouth/throat, etc. cancer, and it is a chances game I'm not willing to play. Also, being from Canada, as many of you may know a tin is around $23...

So far I'm on my fourth day without dip and I believe it is going well although I am getting the cravings. The greatest cravings have been when I'm driving. I usually always had a dip in when I am driving. I've ordered some of the tobacco free alternative (Grinds and Nip Energy Dip) to try out.

I would also like to say congratulations to those of have quit dipping after years and years and years of partaking in the habit.

All the best,
Kent
Kent, don't worry about years and years from now. It's great to have that goal tucked away somewhere in your mind, but around here we quit One Day At A Time (ODAAT). Forever is too hard to comprehend. Hell, 10 days is too hard to comprehend at first. Post your promise and keep it for one single day. That's all you need to worry about for now. Every day you chalk up a win is a day that you won the battle vs. nicotine. Those will start to pile up in due time, but for now, just win one battle at a time.

Welcome, glad to have you aboard brother.

We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597
