Hey JBent - I didn't see you post roll yesterday and don't see it today, are you still with us? This is not going to work if you don't take the step and post roll, so if you really want to quit and not just talk about it, post for today. We just ask you quit for today, not for the rest of your life. Read the links below so you know what to expect because the SUCK is rough but short lived. Just my two cents. Because I'm a stranger, and I care. You'll find a lot more around here if you commit to today.

Read and follow the instructions of all those links provided by soul. Post roll and read everything you find on this site.

On another note, I'd love to hear how you started dipping at age 4. I saw a 10 year old with a cig at the beach today and that freaked me out.

Congrats on your decision to quit. Take some time to consider how quitting will improve the other aspects of your life. Freedom is a beautiful thing.

Hey jbent. Welcome aboard bro. Sounds like you came to the right place to get this done. We're all about the quit here. We support your quit, not another failed attempt.

Check out the Welcome Center. You'll get an idea about how things work here. In general, we're about cold turkey, accountability and some great group support bro. We'll get this done. Its one day at a time. I would check out the things you can expect:

http://www.killthecan.org/yourquit/symptoms.asp

We take it day by day. Make a point to get up and post roll call:

index.php?showtopic=50

or the video of the same

http://www.killthecan.org/roll/

Roll call is our pledge each day that we will no use. No nic of any kind. Get through that day and get up and quit again the next day. That's how we do it. One day at a time. If your on day three I think you fall into the September quit group here:

index.php?showtopic=4751

Great bunch of quitters. Guys and gals going the distance. Get to know those folks. They'll be there through the thick and thin.

Reach out if you need bro. We're all addicts. We're all going to get up tomorrow and quit again. That's about all we ask. Quit today. Keep your word. Support your fellow quitter.

Glad to quit with you.

-Soul

Hey my name is Jeremy I am 39 years old. I have been dipping snuff since I was four years old and have been on two cans a day for about 10 years. I have tried the sugar free candy, gum , lozenges but I fail every time. I have had 3 dvt's and 1 pulmonary embolism. My catdiologist told me to stop immediatley. Nicotine apperently is messing with my circulation. I have tried repeatedly only to fail. My Dr has prescribed be clonopam (spelling?). I think it is a tranquilzer because of my tendencey to be violent starting day 3 with out snuff. I hope it will help me before I give myself another clot or embolism. Any advice anybody has would be greatly appreciated.
