Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm reading up on all the topics as much as I can in my spare time. The hardest part will be doing homework or watching ball games without a pinch in.

Thanks again for the support. It means a lot!

Great decision. Now honor it for yourself. You just cashed a check for 20 extra high quality years added to your life. Don't blow it!

Boozer - welcome aboard and congrats on taking control of your life again. Lots of stories similar to yours here, some that have stayed quit, others that didn't hold the line. All the resources, support, and guidance that you could possibly want is all here -- dig in, read until you're cross-eyed, and drop in for the occasional chat room. All of it will help reinforce your quit, particularly in the first few days when it can be a rough adjustment.

First thing's first: get yourself in the May 2014 Quit Group ("Project Mayhem") and post roll (index.php?showtopic=50). This is the foundation of your quit. Your Mayhem brothers have faith that you can keep your word for one day, and that's all we ask -- both of you and ourselves. One Day At A Time -- don't complicate it. Don't worry if you screw it up the first couple times -- it'll become second nature soon enough. Check your inbox.

Hey everyone,

What should be an easy decision is definitely much more difficult than I ever thought it would be. I finally decided I had my last dip tonight.

I've been dipping for about 5-6 years now and before that it was off and on with friends. Product of choice WAS Grizzly Long cut wintergreen.

I want to quit because I don't want to lose out on the rest of my life. I desire a healthier lifestyle and this is the first thing that has to go.

I found this site and took it as a sign that now is my time. I know I can do this.

All the best!
Welcome!

Congrats on a great decision. Go to the welcome center on the orange tab at the top of the screen.

You're right about the healthy part. I'm only 43 days into my quit  my blood pressure is great now. I'm working out better than ever.

If u need anything, shoot me a PM.

Quit on!
