Basic Playbook for KTC:


Due to Amazon being sold out of copies of the KTC playbook, I decided to share the highlights of the cliff notes.
•   Wake Up Piss Post (WUPP)  – helpful to battle craves if you have posted your promise early in the day. If you have an issue posting your promise early in the day, reach out to a quit brother or sister and ask for a pickup. This shouldn’t be a common occurrence.
•   Wake up and repeat WUPP daily.
•   Exchange digits – every quitter should have numbers. Can every quitter be contacted by multiple group members?
•   Set a post deadline – example 1pm EST – be mindful of time zones – if you post late own it and acknowledge. You signed up for accountability. Brothers and sisters need to be checking roll throughout the morning to know if they are missing fellow quitters. If so, hunt them down.
•   What are you doing to help the group? Are you updating SSOA? Are you posting and ghosting? Do you track that your sisters and brothers have posted? Chase, Support, and hold each other accountable. If nothing else, post early so no one has to chase you down, thus creating more work for others.
•   Build relationships. Everyone’s goal is to be nicotine free but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t develop relationships. Strong relationships go along way in supporting your quit.

Funny how things seem to work. Thought getting more involved and trying to help newer quitters would give me the kick in the pants I needed to recharge my quit batteries. Instead, feel like I receive a smack in the face. I know I can't quit for others but I don't understand not wanting the help.

Day 281 and quit

Some addicts just don’t want help Keith. I know if it were up to you, you’d have a hand in helping every single man and woman on KTC.. but that’s just not possible. Don’t let the duds bring you down.. move on to the next quitter that actually wants your help. KTC is a way better place with you down in the trenches helping your brothers.

Addicts will be addicts..

Today marks the 39th day I am clean. I wouldn't be writing this without the help of my brothers/sisters. Learn from my prior failures and share your digits. There is power in numbers. Thank you to everyone that has assisted me in my quit.

Welcome. Small world - I was in Ellicot City for a conference a couple weeks ago.

If you're on day 6, you are through the worst of it. The nicotine is out of your body, now it's just a matter of will.

You are off to a great start.  You need to find your January 2019 quit group and post roll.  You can find it here http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?topic=584.1140

There are instructions at the top of every roll post on how to post roll.

It is a very simple process but very hard at the same time.  You are already out of the withdrawal stage.  Now it is going to be a complete mind fuck for little while.  Stay with it.  Get some phone numbers of the guys in your group and any one else that can help.  Use those numbers whenever you feel the urge to cave.

1. Wake Up

2. Piss

3. Post your promise not to use nicotine.

4. Repeat

That is it.  Posting daily and early every day is price of admission to this forum.
