Welcome aboard. Like you I poisoned myself for over 4 decades. Quitting with the brotherhood makes this so much more manageable. Reach out and share your experiences and read about others and you will realize you don't have to fight alone. Pm me if you have anty questions or want my number.

Welcome aboard Trinity. I saw that you posted roll. Nice job. Since you posted roll, I just want to tell you WHY we post roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the April, 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. If your electricity quits working, your internet provider goes bankrupt or you are on vacation and will not have internet access, call or text a quit brother and tell the brother to post for you. Simple and easyÂ…and therefore, no reason for not posting roll. The reason you are put in April is that will be the month that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.

Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Congratulations on making the best decision of your life. Wayne

Great decision to quit! Read everything on KTC. You will find all the knowledge you need about our addiction, the horrible endgame if you do not quit, and how others have quit. I am 228 days free right now, and I will tell you it is worth it. You will have to fight like hell to get there, but at some point it will get easier if you can stay quit.

Hello, I quit chewing tobacco on 1-2-2014 after ~40 years of chewing in some form or another. Last night at work I had my first craving and was very tempted to stop on the way home from work to buy a can but instead used my phone to look up incentives to quit. Found this site and after reading some I didn't stop for tobacco and decided to register here today and say thanks.
Welcome Trinity. Glad you found us before caving. First thing to do is click on the Welcome Center tab (pink tab in the top left). That will give you a rundown of what the site is all about and why/how we do what we do.

The most important thing about KTC, and your only price of admission, is posting roll every single day in your quit group. For you that's April 2014. This is your hall of fame month. That means in April you will have gotten to 100 days quit. By posting roll you are giving a promise to yourself and every other quitter on this site that you will not use nicotine in any form today (dip, cigs, patches, gum, etc.). This is a no nicotine site. Keep that promise for the day, go to bed, wake up and repeat. We don't quit forever here, we quit one day at a time (ODAAT).

Sounds like you've gotten a head start on your quit. Welcome to KTC and drink the Kool-aid my friend. You WILL do this. We'll be here to support you in any way we can.

Today I choose to quit because today is the only day I have control over today. Tomorrow is a new day and when tomorrow is today, I'll control it too, but not until then. I will win this fight with today...
