Here's a link to fake stuff. I've had Smokey Mtn and Hooch brands. I prefer Hooch.

Different schools of thought on here about fake stuff. Some say it doesn't allow you to break the oral part of the addiction and you shouldn't do it. Others say it would be best not to use fake stuff, but use it or anything else you need to put in your mouth as long as it keeps you from using nicotine.

Good call on tossing the nic pills Xander, I went on those things numerous times and each time I went back to the can and it had me by the balls even more. I would use those lozenges in between dips when I was at work, and around my family when they thought I was quit......Just buckle up and hold on brother, its going to get rocky the next 72 hours, stick in there and post roll.

THX Guys, I've got a question tho, i was looking to join a quit group but there isnt one for my quit date (Today) and it wouldnt let me create one. The roll call would help me out a great deal, its nice little reminder for the day. THX Alex
Your HOF day (100th day) would fall in the month of May. You would be in the May 2011 group. Head over there and post your Day 1. Welcome aboard.

And I just noticed something. You must be nicotine free to post roll. So toss that Nicorette in the trash, and do this cold turkey. To break the addiction, you must stop introducing the nicotine into your body.

Good job friend and you don't need luck because you're gonna get there through effort, something you control.

Kind of along the lines of you wanting to whiten your teeth, I have a crooked tooth that I should've had fixed for years that I always put off because I figured it may interfere with my dip and why bother spending money on my teeth when I was likely gonna have part of my jaw carved up later? Just use that great smile you'll have to motivate you and the pride you'll have at winning this battle to give you reason to smile.
Well, look at it this way. You've wasted way more than $40.00 over the years. You need to get pissed that you have paid a tobacco company so much money to kill you slowly. Be quit, and you'll never waste another penny on it.

So yesterday i decided that i was going to put down the can. Im only 19 but have dipping about a can a day since i was 14 and really dont want to be a slave to the can any longer. The day started off pretty good then around 2 in the afternoon the cravings became unbearable. I decided to go to walgreens and found some nicorette lozenges and so far they seem to help more than i thought. WISH ME LUCK
using nicotine to quit using nicotine? Its kinda like wiping before you poo, it just dont make sense.

on a more serious note, throw the lozenges away and all your cans and QUIT!

MAN UP! I did it 91 days ago, you can too.

Are you going to give us your word and actually quit?

I could have wrote the same thing about the lozenges and nic gum a few years ago. Just prolongs the misery and then you are addicted to them. Brian is right, man up and get off the nic, you have my word that it WILL get better!

Listen to the below advice xander. You're not really quit until you stop ingesting nicotine 100%. When you stop with the lozenges your craves will be just as bad and you'll feel just as shitty as you would if you never used them and just quit cold turkey.

You're prolonging the suck and setting yourself up for failure.

Drop the lozenges, grab your sack, and embrace the suck.

Welcome to KTC.
