So yesterday i decided that i was going to put down the can. Im only 19 but have dipping about a can a day since i was 14 and really dont want to be a slave to the can any longer. The day started off pretty good then around 2 in the afternoon the cravings became unbearable. I decided to go to walgreens and found some nicorette lozenges and so far they seem to help more than i thought. WISH ME LUCK
Wrong answer brother. 'finger point'

Take it from a guy who chewed those fucking lozenges like they were tic-tacs for over a year before going back to the can.
That's like saying you're going to quit snorting coke by smoking it instead.
Cold Turkey is the way to go. Stop dicking around, man up, get it done.

If you want to become a part of this community and participate in Quit groups and discussions, you cannot be using nicotine of any kind. This includes all Nicorette products and nicotine replacements (patches, etc.). You can quit cold turkey, there are people here who have been addicted for decades and quit cold turkey. It is going to really suck, but you have to go through that pain to actually quit.

You say you don't want to be a slave anymore, but using nicorette lozenges are just continuing to make you a slave. They "help" you more than you thought because it is feeding the exact same poison to your brain that dip does.

Feeding your body nicotine is not quitting. Man up, grab your balls, and deal with the suck. You can do it, but it's going to hurt.

THIS IS YOUR DAY TO BE QUIT.
