Hah, I don't feel in anyway that my nicotine addiction is any worse than anyone elses. I simply don't want to go through the sleepless nights and going to work on 4hrs of sleep. I've quit cold turkey before and IT SUCKS. I don't want to go through it again.

Simply reread all the posts I've received since I told people I was quitting. Who are you guys to say my way won't work? Because it didn't work for you?

By the way, I spent $15 on a pack of 14 off eBay. I'm spending less than I was dipping.

I did get one and only one thing from this website, determination. And when that day comes when I'm done with the patches, I'll hop back online and "officially" quit.

Cya then
How well did your way work for you the last you tried it? If it was so great, you wouldn't have come looking for us. You would still be quit, no?

Keep trying.....

To be fair to nomoregrizzley he is NOT posting roll. I guess he just felt the need to let us know he was a half assed quitter.

Nomoregrizzly - take your marbles and get out of here. I don't quit with pussies. You are not quit until you quit all Nic in all forms once and for all. Patch? That is not quitting, that is just another way to get the drug you are addicted to. I'm not gonna post roll with someone who is still using. I post roll with those who have gone to hell and back, who know what the suck feels like, who are struggling, kicking, screaming, crying, but still quit. You and your "patch" shit on all of us. No one here says you can't do what you want to do. Just don't do it here. Change your mind and see the light, I'll back you 100%.

Oh another SPECIAL quitter. What the fuck don't you people understand about this site. It is for quitters with balls. Quit all the way or not all. Your addiction is to nicotine not tobacco. As long as you are putting nicotine into your body you haven't quit shit. Sorry for not rolling out the welcome wagon, but damnit you SPECIAL people really piss me the fuck off.

I have an idea! How about quitting on your birthday! That should work. No? How about Christmas? Sure, that will definately work! Well, how about the New Year? A great time for a New Years resolution, and it's only 7 months away. That gives you 7 months to PREPARE to quit! And maybe you could cut WAY back to say only 3 dips a day between now and then, one after each meal...that should work!

I know I'm a sarcasdic dickhead...The point is, and this might be news to you friend, YOU ARE AN ADDICT! And that is ADDICT THINKING! I know this because I AM AN ADDICT...JUST LIKE YOU!

Your addiction is no worse than mine or 8000+ other members of this site. We were all scared. We had all failed in the past. We were all sure that our addiction was worse, stronger than others, we were different. Sad news friend, YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL.

Our ways here at KTC are not the huggy, feely, nut-cupping type. We are hardcore about our quits. This might seem mean spirited, or ugly to you but it WORKS!

I dipped for 24 years...I have not had a dip in 377 days. There are many of my fellow quitters that dipped longer and more than I did and have been quit longer. If you are serious about quitting then you have found the right place...flush all the nicotene shit you have, patches included. Post roll call in September 2011 group, giving your word to be nicotene free, and begin to detox. It will last about 72 hours and it will not be fun. But it gets MUCH better as the days add up. Your call friend...you can keep making EXCUSES and TRYING or you can come on in and BE QUIT!

I understand what you're saying. Of course my overall goal in 2-3months (maybe sooner) is to be off nicotine for good. Just getting rid of the mental mindset of "Oh I just finished dinner, better pop in a dip" will be a huge step.

I have a buddy that quit by adding mint tobacco free snuff to each tin.

Got another friend that quit by cutting her cigarettes in half.

Both of these wouldn't work for me, I would just go though twice as much a day.

I'm really just trying to take it slow so I don't set myself up for failure.

I will continue to post, everyday is progress and eventually I'll be nicotine free just like the rest of you guys.
That's great that you're setting some goals. If it was my "goal" to quit today, I'd be finger banging a can right now. But I'm sure you're different from me.

I used nic gum for seven days. It didn't do anything but prolong my misery and make me 60 dollars poorer. Thank goodness I finally wised up and tossed the crutch and started quitting.

Do you see all of these people on this site ready to support you? You could not buy this kind of support in the real world. We have all been just where you are now. When you're really ready to quit, you will toss the nicotine, quit and come here for help and support. Redtrain is right, you're not making any progress. There's really no reason to post again until you're ready to quit.

And to be completely honest, as long as you are putting a nic patch on your shoulder, you've made no progress......so the next update should include something involving getting rid of the patches.

Yeah, you better stick with the patch because if you don't, quitting will be much harder for you that it has for the rest of us......

You need to wrap your mind around the fact that your situation is not special or unique.

When you 2-3 month goal of no nicotine comes around, I promise it will suck all over again. I've seen it time and time again.

But, if you want to do that to yourself....your choice.

If that's how you're gonna proceed (with the patch) then that's how you're gonna proceed. But this ain't about just quitting dip, chew, snus, smokes here we're dumping nicotine in all forms.

You'll need to dump the patch at some point, you're just justifying use now it sounds like. I slept like crap the first month into the quit, sleep great now. Hell I slept like crap for most of the last 16 years because too often I was staying up for the midnight dip, the 2 am dip you get the idea.

We're here when you wanna quit letting nicotine rule your life. Sept 11 would love to welcome you.
