Yeah it sounds dopey, but that promise I made last night to thousands of people kept me driving past the gas station today on day two. If you value your word, roll really does seem to work.

When you post roll, treat it as your word. If you really believe you made a promise to thousands of us....it's because you did. Sounds dopey at first but that promise has seen me through all my tough craves. Good luck.

My tips:

1. Post roll every single day without exception. Do it first thing in the morning. Wake n' Roll! Don't have internet access? Tough! See rule #2. Posting roll is the absolutely most important thing you must do at KTC. There are countless people who have caved after several hundred days. Why? They thought they had it licked, and quit posting roll. You need to post every single day!

2. Get some peeps in your quit group to be part of your quit plan. Get their digits, and should you find yourself getting ready to cave, you call or text them. They will help you not do cave in to the demands of the nic whore. A cave plan is very very important.

Welcome! If you use the site as it's intended you will quit using forever. I wish you luck, and look forward to seeing you in the HOF!

Good job on roll. now bear down for the next couple of days, get some digits from other quitters, especially in your HoF month.

Thanks! i think i added myself in the roll call. So far figuring out how to post roll call/ make posts and replies has been harder than quitting.

Cold turkey is the only way. If you are using any form of nicotine you are not quit.

Only post roll if you are quit.
Another pointer, don't drink for a couple months. Many caves are alcohol related.

Hello all, been a consistent dipper for 6 and a half years...wow weird to actually read that. Started in high school, played lacrosse and I'm sure i started the same as everyone else. Oh I'll never buy a can I'll only dip when someone else has one to where I am buying one almost one a day now. Played lacrosse in college so dipped all through that. but finished with school, I have a full time job up here in NYC am just over 1 year into my first real committed relationship with an amazing girl.

I'm sure everyone gets to this point in a different way or for different reasons but reading the posts and seeing the support and community that exists on this site. It's very motivating, I think I'm going to stop cold turkey. My last "real dip" was friday after work. Grizzly long cut, Saturday night i dipped 2 pouches while hammered drunk. So I think I'm at a good place to not dip (spent the weekend with my girlfriend so no chewing for me when I'm with her she hates it). So i told her and my roommates that its time to quit. luckily none of my roommate dip so that should be easy to avoid temptations. Just have to survive the long days of work, or after i eat, workout, or when i sit down to play some xbox.

Just ready for the challenge and the journey, I have the motivation and reasons to quit now its time to get it done!

One last thing, any pointers? I've read through the main FAQs and all the websites but does anyone have some tips or tricks that are not that well known that they used to help them quit?

Let me know if I am screwing up formatting or posting style on the site.
