Welcome to the Titans, best decision you have made. Doesn't matter if it's been 6 years or getting close to 30, this shit is hard to kick and trust me when I say it's easy to fall off the wagon. I'm going on day 3 myself so hit me up if y'all need the support. Roll call daily and reach out.

Peppermint gum has been the best for me. The fruit flavored stuff made me hungry.

You need a # just shout.

Welcome!

I too lived in that fear of paranoia and wondering if I had the big C. 21 days into my quit I still worry if I quit in time. Just remember, take it one day at a time. You can quit for 1 day, that's not too hard. Just wake up every morning with that mentality, I quit for today!

Glad to have you here. Get involved on KTC. Your time here will only be as good as the effort you put into it. Get some phone numbers and develop friendships. It is hard to turn your back on your support group when you have friends posting roll with you every day.Take time to read people's into threads. You will see that we are all addicts and have similar stories. Get to know these people and extend a hand of support while others are also supporting you.

Let me know if you need anything!
Thanks for the response. Chewing is a part of the culture where I live, so I'm going to try and keep myself involved and busy with this site and people like yourself as much as I can to keep myself away and my mind off the habit.

Cheers, bud.
How are you doing, TTM?
I have five different flavours of gum, a bag of sunflower seeds, two different fake/herbal dip, breath mints and cough drops and I rotate every 10-15 minutes when needed.

I'm on a road trip by myself driving 12 hours for work. Had to stop into half a dozen gas stations that sold chew. Talked to two strangers throughout the day, both just casually pulled out a can and put in a dip during their conversationsÂ…

I'm really being tested today.
Keep approaching these hurdles as battles, not wars. Keep winning these small battles and you'll be amazed at what's on the other end of the battlefield. IF you need some accountability...shoot me a message.

I Need New Hobbies
« on: June 25, 2014, 03:13:00 AM »
Hey everyone, I'd like to start off by saying that I have so much respect for the guys on this site. Seeing a site like this where dedicated people come together to better themselves, improve their health/well being and also help and inspire others is awesome. Thanks.

I started dipping when I was 18 or 19 and have been doing it on and off ever since. (I'll be turning 24 later in the year).

When I first starting using it, I didn't think too much about the risks and damage it does, I just did it because it was fun.
It's now gotten to the point where I'm now both addicted and paranoid.
Any little discomfort I feel in my mouth leaves me sleepless for days. I'm constantly checking my mouth for sores and constantly self-diagnosing myself.

Over the last day and a half, I've had a bit of a sore jaw, tongue and throatÂ… Feeling very head cold/stripped throat-ishÂ… Whenever I feel or notice anything like this, I freak outÂ… Like I said, I lose sleep from these things, I can't concentrate, can't focus, can't live my life and I get depressed. You'd think I would of quit a long time ago since this is what my life has becomeÂ… I couldn't, it's an addiction.

I had my last dip and flushed the rest of the can a couple hours ago before joining this site and posting roll call for my Day 1.

This is what I need.
