Am here with you Cody. I too started when I was 18-19 years old and now at 41 I have had enough. Let's do this together to make 100 days into October.

Aloha, my name is Cody and I began dipping about 3-4 years ago in high school with friends thinking it was fun to dip and get a nice buzz.  The feeling of being relaxed and being with friends was the main reason I dipped so often and so much, to relieve the stress from school and my parents.  Now I find it a daunting life style which will lead to cancer and ending my life if I continue down this path.  I just want the dipping to end and my anxiety of losing my life also.  My parents have been caused stress after finding out the horrible habit I picked up and believed I have stopped but that was a lie as I continued after their plea.  I want to stop living a lie and be honest to them.  I am only 19 and wish to live a life without all this crap. I'm done with this shit. It's time to take life as it comes and not let dip slow me down.  I have a life to live.

Cody.. the 1st time I tried to stop I was 18.. maybe 19? I remember the time, what I was driving, where I was working,  how fucking miserable I was! Now 26 years later.. I have 23 days to my credit.. also several gum graft surgeries (please look for that post i wrote)..  tens of thousands of $ spent because of the shit.. Congrats for showing up.. Now if you can man up and quit at this age.. My hats off Bro! Gooch
Guess I'd better through my stupidity out there to make coach and Gooch feel better I've been an addict for between 38 and 40 years. In reality it doesn't make any difference rather you've been addicted one year or 50 years were all addicts were all on the path to being quit! My day 93 -0 I win again today with you Cody!
Cody get to know grizzdipper18 you guys are the same age!

Cody,

I see you posted roll with October 12. Well done, that is your first step towards freeing yourself from the bonds of your addiction. Did I mention you're addicted? If not, then let me reiterate......you are an addict. We all are, that's why we're here. This shit ain't gonna be easy at first, it will test you to the core. But trust me, you'll come out better and healthier on the flip side. Kudos to you for recognizing you have a problem after only 3-4 years. I didn't wise up for 16 years and several others on KTC dipped for much longer. Keep posting roll daily and get involved with your group. By all means, whatever you do, stay quit.

Read this story and make sure to go to Killthecan.org and look at the pics every time you even feel a crave coming on.

Welcome.

Here are some good links to help you get started. I cut them from a previous post.

Click on each of the highlighted words, read everything you can, then come back here and continue on to the next step.

First, read the Welcome Center. This will tell you how and why the site works. Click on each of the items in there and read carefully.

Next, click here and learn how to post roll. This is a short video that shows you exactly how to post roll. You might need to watch it a few times.

Lastly, this will be your quit group. It is October 2012. October is when you would hit 100 days quit and therefore enter the Hall of Fame. Post roll in there. Ask questions. Tell everyone how you feel.

I urge you beyond the three things I mentioned above to read as much as you can. There is a wealth of information that can help you along your path. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who are willing to help you stay quit. Utilize their knowledge, both about how to use the website and how to stay quit.

My name is Chase and I am quit with you today.
