tried Smokey Mountain Chew but find it disgusting.
'crackup' that didn't stop you 30 years ago! Or did you you find the taste of skoal intoxicating your first time at the rodeo?

You got this. Seeds. Smokey mountain. gum. jerky. whatever you gotta put in your mouth to keep the bitch at bay, do it.

welcome aboard. You found the answer you've been looking for.
The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

Don't be a candy ass. Let me hear some quit noise like "I hate UST" or "I will never be owned again" or "I am going to fight to the last bit of blood spills from my body to remain clean".

Like Bean said and Yoda said before him, there is no try, there is quit and not quit.

"trying to quit?" People will tear you up on here for that kind of talk. You either commit and give your word and do it, or don't waste your time. There is no "try." (I think Yoda said it better, but I can't remember it.)

Anyway, great choice, Aggie. Stay strong, stay quit, bro!!!

Hello everyone, I'm a 30 year dipper trying to quit. The last few years if I wasn't asleep or eating I was dipping. Was up to 1 can of skoal and 5 or 6 Swedish snus portions a day.
Made it through the 1st week, although  the fog and stomach cramps almost did me in. I'm fine at work now where I used the snus, but as soon as I get in my truck to come home the skoal craving hits. Seeds and gum helps tried Smokey Mountain Chew but find it disgusting. Only thing that keeps me going is the memory of how hard the 1st week was, and the damage it was doing to my body.
Mark great job on quitting

It sounds like you are on the right track, the first week is the worst. And you will never have to go through that again (unless you cave). You are off the snus now too, right? If so you are in the January quit group. Click the pink link up top (Welome Center) and learn why we post roll call. When you learn why, go to your quit group and post day 10.

Shoot me a pm if you have any questions, proud to be quit with you.
I'm off the snus, been nicotine free since the 2nd. I'll read the welcome center and roll call posts tonight.

Markja,

Glad to see you here man. Way to take your life back. Welcome to the one of the hardest and most rewarding things you will ever do in your life. My first month has been great and terrible. But I would not change being quit for a second.
