Welcome to the best scite on the web. Join the April quitters and I will quit with u everyday. I too for many years thought of tobacco use as a habit. The truth is it's an addiction and we are addicts. I truly believe that thinking of it as a habit leads to failed attempts to quit. I wish I had my wife to help me, but truth is I'm so embarrassed from failed attempts in past I haven't even told her about my support group.

I've sent 2 PM's and 1 email . She did try to post roll last night. Didn't come through, but there was effort, but i still haven't heard back from her in any form.
Maybe she'll try again today or tonight.

Nice share and congrats to both of you for quitting like this together. I am going to offer you some advice and links that should help you through some nasty days. this quitting addiction is not easy but it is possible.

1 - drink lots of water, it really helps flush your system and curb cravings
2 - find an alternative to dip that works for you: cinnamon candies, fake dip, lifesavers, sex...
3 - when you get a bad craving do something physical: run, walk, push ups, sit ups and complete that until the craving goes away
4 - with both of you quitting rage will be very hard to manage, both irritable, moody and some days just unbearable. get on here and go to chat and Mother Fuck some poor unsuspecting jackass, because the odds are that you will never meet that jackass...just might save your marriage or court costs
5 - read other stories on here too, Kern is one of my personal favorites as well but there are many other examples that will pull at your heart strings
6 - use this Spousal Support information for both you and your husband to open your eyes to what is going on
7 - this will help you identify the Symptoms of Quitting Dip  Chew
8 - What to expect when you quit dipping
9 - And so you see that you are a minority but certainly not alone Women and smokeless tobacco use
10 - trade phone numbers with other quitters and maybe use your husband too and find a way to promise one another daily in the process

P.S. all of the underlined and bold words are links to the KTC webpage or the forum.
"If you want to quit then stop talking and just QUIT. If you want to kill yourself a bullet is cheaper and faster than a tin, plus it eliminates my hearing you whine and cry like a bitch."

Hey girl! Your not alone here. I quit 226 days ago and it was the best decision I've ever made. Do this for yourself so that you can be around for your family. You won't regret it. We all know how hard it is to quit bit more importantly, how rewarding it is. If I can do it, you can! If you need any advice or help, feel free to PM me. I quit with you!

Welcome to the KTC.
You'll find lots of different kinds people on here.
We are all here for the same reason and fight the fight together. That's how this place works, accountability and brotherhood.

Start posting roll daily and bring your hubbs in too.

It works, i could never get past 5 or 7 days until i came here. Im day 288 today. I chalk that up to our "live chat" and connections here.

You are in the right place, quitting tobacco isn't about boy or girl, it's about choosing life over tobacco. By getting involved in a support group you have stacked the odds in your favor to get this quit to stick. I quit with you today day 30. Give the big 'Finger' to big tobacco!!!

I suspect that I am in the minority on this site. You see, I am the wife of a dipper but also a dipper myself. Have used tobacco since age 16 to a small degree. 10 years ago I discovered pouches and here we are! Found this site on accident (or Divine intervention) from a shared Facebook story about the Kern family. It scared the Heck out of me. Period. I read it really early morning December 31 so I never got a dip that day. Haven't since but day 2-4 made me so sick. Headache and nausea. For some reason today has been a struggle. My husband is quitting too. We are trying not to kill each other. We have had a lazy day in the house today and that was a mistake but we have made it. Our 4 yr old wonders why I lock myself in the bathroom. It is so I don't snap! It isn't his fault his mom has a nasty, unfeminine habit! The first 3 days I re-read the Kern story EVERY time I wanted to give in. Thank you for sharing that painful part of your life.
