I did pretty much the same thing. Started with Skoal Bandits (pouches), then Skoal Long Cut, then Fine Cut, then went to Red Seal to "Save Money" many many years ago.

Kayak dude, the fine cut basically gives you a better buzz. Never had a problem with "messyness". I had a few times in my later years of lame ass addiction when I'd have to buy a can of long cut because they are out of fine cut and I was irritated immensely until I got my fine cut. It's a drug.

I just rolled through a week (7 days) with no nicotine and I'm feeling good, glad to see you guys doing good as well.

Is anyone else having issues with the "roll call" thing? They need to update this BBS system, I get "bumped" in the morning and let's face it, this is an antiquated system.

My name is Jeremy, and I have chewed for 14 years. I started with Skoal Long Cut then went to Skoal Fine Cut and ended with Red Seal Fine Cut. I have quit chewing for 12 days and this is the longest period of time I have went without chewing.

Congratulations on a solid quit so far.
31 days ago I joined KTC on my 12 th day. (no shit even named my intro 12 days, and I dipped Redseal). Something you should do if you have not already is click on the salmony-pink "welcome center" link above. Read everything there, and the read it again. If you are quit, you should jump to May2012 as Kayak said and post roll. Don't worry if you mess up. Someone will be along to fix it.

Somethings to remember:

1. At KTC we quit. This means we do not use any form of nicotine. Including patches, lozenges, gum, germs, cigars, suppositories.... anything with nicotine is out.

2. We post roll. Posting roll is a promise to our fellow quit brothers that we will not use nicotine that day. It is our word and it holds us accountable to are brethren.

3. We repeat this process daily.

That's it. Simple but not easy.

Jb53, I was right where you are only 1 month ago. I decided that after 2 decades of using, I no longer wanted that lying Bitch to hold my hand. So, I quit, and I have quit every single day since. I will be around tonight and you should visit the chat room if you haven't already. Also, check your PM inbox.

Welcome to KTC! A lot of badass quitters on here want to help you with your quit. Go ahead and introduce yourself to our group, thats in the quit groups section, pre hof may 2012. That's for people who's Hall of Fame date (1oo days quit) fall into May 2012.

I never chewed the fine cut. What's the appeal in it? More nicotine, or a better cut? It always just seemed messy and easy to get stuck in your teeth... Idk, always wondered about that fine cut stuff
last cigarette 2/1/2012
last dip 2/18/2012
quit date 2/19/2012

My secrets of success so far: KTC, Sex, bacon, fake dip, wintergreen lifesavers, BLT sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, and bacon. What are yours?
