As Done4Me has advised, head over and post roll. If you read the banner at the top of your screen, you will see that the cornerstones of this site are accountability and brotherhood. Without posting roll and just sending us your Facebook status updates every few weeks, you do not benefit from either the accountability nor the brotherhood.

See, if you never post roll, we don't know to keep tabs, and you're missing the accountability. Also, if you aren't involved daily getting to know your brothers and sisters in quit, you're missing the brotherhood.

I know this sounds a little bizarre and "cultish" at first, but I'm telling you, I've tried hundreds of times to quit on my own and never made it more than a week. Today I have been quit for 36 straight days because of the accountability and the brotherhood.

I strongly urge you to take full advantage of this site rather then sending us a Facebook post every couple weeks. You will never believe the amount of support you will receive to get this thing done.
Actually there's only one reason to not post roll daily and join in the accountability that this group offers. Yep, leave that door open so you can change your mind, even if it's for that "just one"! I say that for you justy! The wife laying down the law is the worst reason out there to quit. I tried that one for 35 years and all it did was changed me into a ninja dipper. 11 days alone is really great but that extra layer of accountability will really help when craving hits hard.
I've rarely read an intro where it seemed that a new quitter had such a good understanding of their quit and triggers. Join us in the daily accountability of posting roll. It's one extra layer of protection. And imagine the information you can share with other new quitters. It would be good for you and others alike. Jump in with us bro.
Without posting roll you might as well post on Facebook. See we give respect for those who earn it. Goodluck on your solo journey but damn it's alot easier with all these badass supporters! It's simple post roll and get the support you're gonna need! I quit with you today!
It's not just simple, not just a boon for accountability, not only will it make your quit more likely to succeed--it is required. It is the price of admission here, as we say.

Welcome Justy! Nice prep work with oral replacements. Sounds like you have your head on straight as well. Just make sure you're doing this for you, not for your wife. Those that do have a higher rate of success. Recommend you head on over to the new November group and post roll. Posting your promise not to use early each day is what gets each of us another day of freedom. Adding in accountability and brotherhood from being involved with a group of guys/gals adds tons to you being quit.

Go ahead and post roll, get involved in November (the month where you will hit 100 days quit) and have stay strong. You have 11 days of success. Why not head on over to November and post your promise?

Day 11 (First Post)
« on: August 14, 2015, 09:26:00 AM »
Hey There,

I just joined this group today to share my experiences during my quit. I will update every few weeks with my progress. Today I am on Day 11.

As I sit here with a wad of unsalted sunflower seeds, I feel very confident that I will be able to conquer this addiction. This is one of 2 addictions that I am actively trying to kick.

A bit about me, 29 year old male, Skoal Straight, Tin a day for 10 years...Just got married a few months ago and Wife decided to lay down the law...glad she did!

As a traveling sales guy, I dip all the time. Car, Airports, Hotel Room, First thing in morning, shower, after coffee, meals, etc. On Day 1 I didn't want to get out of bed because I thought everything I did was a trigger! I then found the key that worked for me and integrated into my quit from DAY 1...NO COFFEE. In fact, I have dropped caffeine all together, and it has made a huge difference.

I don't know about you, but when I smell coffee it makes me want to dip. So I created a new routine each morning that includes boiling water, buying a bunch of different herbal teas (no caffeine), and trying a new one each morning (and night).
Coffee amplifies my need to dip first thing in the morning ten-fold. Changing my routine to making a cup of tea has made the mornings (and nights) tolerable.

I bring unsalted(way better for leaving in mouth) sunflower seeds in the car with me and sugar-free individually wrapped candies in my pocket at all times. When I get the urge I just pop one of these things in. Just making sure I'm prepared at all times, has helped a ton. Once I got first week under my belt, I knew I had this addiction by the balls. I will keep you all posted.

Best success on your quit!

Justy
