Found this site through the wonders of Google and oddly enough, while looking for Skoal coupons.

20 year smoker here, Marlboro Reds... Quit for good in December.

December to current, Skoal straight Pouches...

Now I enjoy the relaxation i get from them and the fact there are no limits to where I can enjoy a dip. No smoking ? No Problem.

Now the past month or so I have been wondering what exactly is in this dip and the ramifications from it all.

It seems there is a much higher percentage of "something" happening to you while dipping, instead of smoking... and i will NEVER go back to that nasty smelling habit.

So now I have decided to put Nicotene down, for good....

Question is, I dont know how.
I mean for everyone this is a personal journey... read some posts here, some advice....

I just need to know where to place that first foot on this walk. My body is telling me to make the trip and my mind is SCREAMING " WHAT ARE YOU DOING "

Busy at work now, here in Pittsburgh, but will check back later on.

Thanks for having me, and looking forward to meeting everyone.

Herk,

I didn't see your name (or Mellifleur) posted in the September group. Click on the "Welcome Center" link above and learn how to post roll. If you need help, just ask.

I think you already know the answer to your question...you quit by making up your goddamn mind that come hell of high water you are not going to put that shit in your fucking pie hole today.

Easy, right?

Now man up and post roll. You can do this!

Herk.. I have no scientific evidence to support the following claim.. it has been what I have read and also based on my personal experience.. depending on the dip.. skoal or cope you get 3 times as much nic from a dip as you do from a smoke? You will only get more and more addicted to nic.. thats just the way it goes.. dip/smoke/snort/patch/gum... if im using im still a slave..

Ohh and this is a place for quitting dip not a place to tell a bunch of people working their assess off to quit how awesome dip is....Asshat
Yep. That's classic addict-talk. Translation: "hey, My nic-controlled brain is telling me that there are a lot of benefits to dipping, so it's only good manners to listen to both sides."

Herk, there is no secret to quoting. The method that has gotten me through 150 days is this:
1.Post roll
2.Keep you damn word.
3.Repeat.

If your word is good, you will stay quit at KTC. Period. Go to the welcome Center and read up on what step one is and how to make step two easier. Notice I said easier. It will be damned hard. But you can do it. Dipping is a choice. Step one removes that choice as an option for today.

Sam
BTW, there are a lot of dumbasses here like you and me that traded smokes for a "less nasty" habit of smokeless.
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.

I hate to break the news to you but shit dip stinks too!

You haven't said anything that convinces me you are ready to quit. please prove me wrong

Until you stop romanticizng dip, and stop thinking it is so great you will never quit. Feel free to pop another cancer causing pouch in your lip. Because all the places you can go with a dip, you probaby can go to with part of your face missing....No really go enjoy.....Have fun

The first foot forward you already took. You stepped in here. Second foot is understanding why you came here.

Why do you even entertain quitting? What is the reason? Who would you be quitting for? I am going out of town so I don't have time to wait for your response. So here is the answer.

Can you quit for your God? Can you quit for a wife, children, mother etc, Can you quit for a job? Can you quit because it is logical? Nope you can't

Step two. You have to want to quit. When you are all by yourself and no one is watching and no one would even know you dipped, wouldn't you do it? Not if you are the one driving and wanting this. You would fight. If you want to quit, then go to step 3.

Step three: Flush the garbage and quit right now. Don't even sit and read anymore flush it now.

Step four: Post Roll. I am off to celebrate my freedom of being quit from nicotine for 100days. After you post roll in September. Ask what is next. Your new brotherhood will take care of you and give you your quit plan. It isn't easy but is is so simple, even a caveman can do it.

Flush it now and divorce the nic bitch. She is a skank and you get nothing from her. Trust me.
