Welcome, I'm glad you found us. I had the same attitude about eating candy that you did. You can lose the weight later.

This is the place to take out your frustrations, rather than on your friends, co workers and family.

What you need to do now is to post roll. That's how this site works. By posting roll, you are making a pledge to the other members of your quit group, and the whole KTC community, that you will not use nicotine for the rest of the day. Then, you do the same thing tomorrow morning and every morning after. Follow this link to your May 2018 quit group. You will find instructions for posting roll at the top of the page. Don't worry about screwing it up, the only way to screw up roll is by not being on roll.

Drink lots of water to flush the nicotine out of your system. After another two days, you should have it all flushed out, and the physical withdrawals will be over. After that, it's a mind game. You have to develop new habits, and new ways of dealing with stress. Posting roll is a great habit to replace that first dip of the day.

Stay here, and read all that you can. Lean on the brothers in your quit group. They have all quit at about the same time you have, and you'll be going through the same things at the same time. Grab some digits, and reach out when you need to. Also, by exchanging digits, you are making yourself available for others to reach out to.

Most of all, you just have to refuse to cave. No matter what.
Welcome and ^^^ hard to top that advice but I will add to it. Get active on KTC and invest in your quit daily, no one can care more about your quit than you do.

Day 2
« on: February 02, 2018, 11:17:00 AM »
Day 2! Made it through day 1 without killing someone. I decided giving up isn't an option, sort of like basic training when i was in it. If i have to yell, I'll yell. If i have to go walking, I'll stand the fuck up and just walk out the door for a while. If I have to eat a shitload of candy...so be it. Whatever it takes. Reading about what to expect helped a lot. Like it's world war III...because it is! I'm going to win this fight.
