I was a ninja as well. You are in a good place to quit. Wake up and post roll everyday. Keep your promise that day. Before you know it, the fog will be gone and you will wonder why the hell you did not quit sooner. There will be many other struggles, and intermittent cravings, but if you make your promise and keep it each day, it will get better as you go.

You should PM someone your phone number and tell them that if you go missing, they need to stalk call you and find out what's going on. That is the best way to build up your accountability group. There is no "luck" or "try" here. It is just about balls and keeping your word. If I can do it, you can too.

Hello DHerrold and welcome. Your story isn't unlike mine or a lot of others guys/gals on here. Glad to see you posted roll in June '17. Great start. The ride ahead will be bumpy, once your name is on roll
first thing in the AM, that's your promise not to use nic. Honor your word and "try' will never come out of your mouth again. Immerse yourself in the wisdom that is KTC. There are a lot of bads ass quitters
on here who have gone through what you are about to do. Rage in here not at home, not their fault you stuffed your face with the poison, we did that all on our own. Drink water, use substitute or lifesavers etc.. and know that after 3-4 days all the nic is out of your system and the rest is mind games. I too was a ninja dipper so my rage came in here. This place works. Build your accountability by supporting others. The key those is that roll post when your day
starts. Congrats on a great decision. If I can quit so can you.

Heading into Day 2
« on: February 27, 2017, 01:21:00 PM »
Hey all-

I just got out of my car after heading for a can of dip and decided once and for all I'm going to try quitting. Ugh.

Been a "closet" dipper for the better part of 2 years how. I started in college and dipped regularly, quit once I graudated and got married, and it's crept in and out of my life over the past 20 years. As of late (as in the last 2 years), I've started dipping daily and regularly, going through 2 cans per week.

As a closet dipper, it's inevitable that you get caught! And I've been caught 4-5 times from my wife and it's been a source of contention as of late. And my oldest daughter found a can in my bag recently - so that was embarrassing as well.

I usually dip behind closed doors at work 2-3 times per day, so it's killing me! That's why I decided about 30 minutes ago to hell with it and I was going to grab a can - but stopped midway and walked back in here. Decided to register on here and ask for some help!

It's time!

Daniel
